What are you doing in your life? If you’re not careful, you may be unknowingly inviting demons into your life. This can negatively affect your life and the lives around you.

Demons are beings of pure evil. They are evil beyond our comprehension. They are sneaking, cunning, and always looking for ways to infiltrate your life. Therefore, you must be on guard and stand firm in the faith.

There may be several instances where you are unknowingly inviting demons into your life. Examine your day-to-day activities and make sure there is nothing that will give the enemy a foothold.

Spend a lot of time in prayer every day. Read your Bible. Talk about the Scriptures with others. Make sure that you are creating an environment of holiness. Do that, and the demons will flee from you.

Hello, and welcome to Social Media Ministries. My name is Spencer Coffman. Thank you for being with us today. We are in the midst of a great sermon series called “No Demons Allowed.”

Today, we are talking about unknowingly inviting demons, so take a minute right now if you haven’t seen the other videos. Make a note, check them out later. There’ll be a card up here for the playlist.

You can watch all of those sermons within this series. Otherwise, make it a point to navigate to our website later, and you can check out the series by typing “No Demons Allowed” into the search bar on our website or YouTube channel.

It’s very important. We don’t want any demons in our lives. We want to keep them away from us, far away, far — far away. Why? Because you don’t want demons around there, wreaking havoc all over.

They’re evil. Why would you want evil in your life? You don’t. You’re a child of the light. A child of God. Not a child of darkness. You want to do things that please God. You need to bring more light into your life. You need to invite the right demons. Last week we had a sermon on that. Now I said, “Wait a minute, invite the right demons?”

Well, demons are notoriously known as evil. Spirits could be evil or good. There are angelic beings and creatures, and demonic powers that were angels that fell. And so you need to make sure you are not inviting the demons, and that’s what we’re talking about today — is unknowingly inviting demons.

Last week, we spoke about how demons must be invited, or spirits must be invited, so exactly like you can invite demons in, you can invite spirits in. So you can be inviting the Holy Spirit into your life. Demons are simply spirits gone bad, or twisted, or manipulated, or wrong, or evil, or whatever word you want to use.

And so you can invite spirits into your life. They must be invited. Whether you invite demons or, whether you invite, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, who stands at the door and knocks, and the Holy Spirit is a person that can be invited into your life, and you can operate in the gifts.

Let your fuel or your light burn brighter, and that is like demon repellent, so they will flee from you. We’ve talked about all this in the past week, so please check it out. It’s very, very, important.
Also, I urge you to follow us, like, subscribe, all of that. Whatever you can, in addition, share these sermons with your friends and family on social media. Because guess what?

This is very important that they know this because if they, if you, know people in your life, and you’re like, “Man, they gotta get it together,” what do they have to get together? They gotta get the demons out of their life. That’s who’s wreaking the havoc. What about some person?

You say, “Man, their life is a mess.” Why is it a mess? They got demons. Share this with them so that they know not to invite them, so that they know whether or not they’re unknowingly inviting demons into their life.

You don’t want to get 10 years down the road and they say to you, “You know what? What’s wrong with you? Why didn’t you help me at that time? You knew you saw this sermon then. And you could have shared that with me and help me solve my problems?”

Don’t withhold from them. Now I’m not just advocating to share these sermons of Social Media Ministries, although yes, that would be great. I’m talking about sharing God, and whether you share it with them through a sermon video from Social Media Ministries, that’s great.

But we don’t want the praise coming to us. It’s not like I’m saying, “Hey, share our stuff because we’re so good.” No, it’s coming here. They’re seeing it, but the glory is going to God. That’s how this works.

And true ministers and true preachers are going to say the same thing. True pastors and true leaders, you get people out there who are trying to take it for themselves. You know who they are? Televangelists. They’re trying to be “In the glory.” They want worship.

That’s demons in their life. I’m telling you, it is. But if you find the preachers out there that are good, that are wholehearted, that are filled with the Spirit, they take it in. They’re pushing out their ministry.

They’re doing fruitful works and people are coming to them. And what are they doing? They are giving that glory right to God. It is going through them, right, like this, like an upward funnel. You can name names. You can put them in the comments.

I’m not going to name names on either side. You know who they are. There are televangelists out there, and preachers that are huge, and they are for the wrong reasons. They are influenced by demons. They have unknowingly invited demons into their lives.

Then you have excellent mega churches and preachers, and evangelists that are filled with the Holy Spirit that are doing great things. And unfortunately, you can probably more easily name the people who unknowingly invited the demons than the people who are truly filled with the Holy Spirit. Why?

Because those people get the recognition. Why? Because this Earth is filled with evil, and who do you think Satan and the demons in this world want recognized? Evil. Why? Because they want the worship. It’s not that person that’s getting worshiped. It’s the demon or Satan within them.

Make no mistake, that’s what Satan’s goal is. It’s to take worship from God and keep it here on Earth. So, what can you do to avoid unknowingly inviting demons in your life? Worship God. By worshiping God, you are repelling demons instantly. Boom! Done.

That’s the first excellent thing. Worship God, because demons want you to hold that in. They don’t want you to be praising God. Look at the trees outside. What are they doing? What are their limbs doing?

Reaching in worship, praising God. What do you need to be doing? Reaching in worship, praising God with your limbs. Praise God with your mouth, look at what Psalms says, “Praise God.” And guess what happens? Demons, stay away. Why?

Because you’re worshiping God, and not them. They don’t like that. There are many things you can do to unknowingly invite demons into your life. And what will they do? They will ruin your life, make no mistake.

You might think it’s great. You might think it’s a nice life, it’s full of pleasure, it’s full of riches and luxury, but it’s not good. You will be stressed. You will be miserable. There will be things, something always going wrong. You will be after more money.

You will be after more possessions. You will be after the next car, the better watch, the new phone, the younger girlfriend, the younger wife. Some people, they just trade around. This is not good. It’s unknowingly inviting demons into their lives, and they have problems upon problems. If you continue to make poor choices with your money, then guess what?

If you’re always running out of money, then there is a demon in your life that’s making sure things go wrong, so that you continue to have money problems. If you have trouble with money or if you want to learn more about money, check out our sermon series.

It’s a playlist filled with several sermons called “Blessed To Be A Blessing.” Blessed to bless. It’s all about money. We got tons of sermons on money, because it’s a very important topic and you need to understand it.

If you become angry or irritated whenever something goes wrong in your life, then guess what? There’s a demon right next to you that’s going to make sure things go wrong so that you become angry and irritated all the time. Why?

Because they don’t want you happy. They want you angry and irritated, cursing things. Because guess what? When you’re cursing things, you can’t be blessing people. When you’re cursing things, you can’t be praising God. You can’t be worshiping God when you’re cursing. So they want you to be doing these things to prevent you from worshiping God. Let’s go to Ephesians.

Ephesians Chapter 4, Verses 26 and 27. “In your anger, do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Right there, when you’re angry, don’t sin. Don’t give in.

Don’t give the devil a foothold in your life. Don’t unknowingly be inviting demons. It’s not good. Remember, anger is okay. You can be angry, but in your anger, don’t sin. We have a sermon called “Righteous Anger.” Check that out in a playlist.

It’s going to be a very important one in a lot of your lives, because you know there are things that make you angry. So watch that sermon and find out whether this anger is righteous, and what to do with it in order to make it more righteous, like Jesus did.

Share it with others too, because if you knew and you withheld, they could be very disappointed that you could have shared something with them that they needed, that could have helped — similarly with money, with anger.

If you like to look at pictures or videos of beautiful people, like maybe naked photos or pornography or something like that, then guess what? There are a lot of demons that are going to make beautiful people readily available to you.

Whether they’re readily available at the gym, or whether they’re on TV, or in commercials, or in magazines, or whether they show up on your computer or your phone. Guess what? The demons will make them available.

You are unknowingly inviting demons. Resist it, get away from it. Get it out of there. C.S. Lewis in “Mere Christianity” — I love it — he has a great explanation of this to really prove how ridiculous it is.

So there are people, and now keep in mind: this was written a long time ago, before the Internet, before you could look at this. Back then, you had to go to like strip clubs and watch people take their clothes off and so on.

And it was curtains or veils that would lift up. You couldn’t be, like, in contact with them, it was divided, and so they would raise curtains because it was a stage, and these women would then unveil themselves or take off clothing, and men would cheer and watch. It was a very bad thing, like a brothel or things like that, that they had.

And C.S. Lewis is giving an example, and he’s saying, “Think of how this works. The curtain comes up and it reveals a woman scantily clad in clothing, then later it comes up again and she has less and less and less.

So similarly, if it’s a perversion, it’s a perversion of something good.” What is good about it? Well, men and women were created to be together in marriage. God created man and woman for each other to be married, to leave their father and mother, to become one flesh.

United in marriage, and what is a result of the one flesh? What are they doing? Why are they together? Well, they’re together. They’re going to have sex, and so that is the good, the perfect, the holy thing that God created for us.

The pleasure that God created out of that human necessity to procreate and to sustain life on Earth. God gave us pleasure in that. In the same way, C.S. Lewis says, now this is my words and his put together, I encourage you to read “Mere Christianity”. And there’ll be a section on, I’ll see if I could just find a link to the section, and put it down below in the description for you.

But, C.S. Lewis is saying in the same way, “We need food in our lives, we need food to sustain life. And so if we perverted sex like this with pornography and viewing it, we could do the same with food.” So we’ve perverted food. So, just imagine that on a stage, there is a hand and a nice big serving platter, and it’s slowly lifting up the lid.

And people are cheering and watching as this lid is coming off, and they’re throwing money out there, and as more and more is shown, you’re now, you’re seeing the leg, or now you’re seeing the rack. And it comes off, and you’re watching the mutton on a platter being revealed, and you’re just loving it. But you’re not eating it.

You’re just looking at it. You’re not not engaging in the thing that is good. You’re engaging in the perversion. And when you truly understand how ridiculous that is, you start to understand how ridiculous it is that people are perverting something good that God has given us, and choosing to let demons rule over it, and unknowingly inviting demons into their lives.

Because you don’t look at pictures of food all the time, and over it, although social media now has a thing called food porn, which people do. They look at pictures of food, and they just go gaga and gooey-eyes over all these things. But are they looking at it for what reason? Have they perverted it?

Exactly like C. S. Lewis said, a hundred years ago, maybe. The point is, it’s a ridiculous notion. It is a perversion of something good God gave us, and it is unknowingly inviting demons. So stay away.

Any of that. Demons are all around, and they will make sure whatever your weakness is, they will make sure your weakness is exposed and that that desire is readily available. They’re not going to attack your strengths. They’re not going to go to an alcoholic and say, “Hey, steal this. no one’s watching.”

No, they’re going to go to an alcoholic and say, “Hey, look, here’s a bottle, a half-drunk drink, and it’s sitting there for you. Someone bought you a drink.” They’re going to use what works because they’re evil. So even though you may not be engaging in sin sometimes, you could still be pushing the boundary if you’re there.

And demons will attack you, to try to push you over that boundary. You are always under attack. Take a look at that sermon we have in a card up here, or go to our website and type in “Always Under Attack.”

They will get you to cross the line, make no mistake. You can be unknowingly inviting them. If you are on that line, they will be trying to get you to cross, to move that line. They cheat! The line may be here — maybe you look away, and they’re going to move the line.

Then you come back and bam! You cross the line. They will cheat. They will lie. They will trick you and deceive you. That is what they do. Remember when the devil lies, he speaks his native language. How do you win? How do you? How do you do this? Well, remember to continue to be worshiping God. Can you be worshiping God 24/7?

You could try, but in everything you do, it could be an act of worship. And if you do that, then yes, the demons will flee. What is worship? Well, praising God. Praying to Him. Praying in the Spirit. Operating in your gifts. Telling others about God. Reading the Bible.

There are a lot of activities you can be doing. Can you be doing that every minute of every day? I hope so. You could at least do it once every hour. Think of something. Thank you, God, for that tree.

Thank you for this, praying about something, praying for somebody. Thinking of a Bible verse, looking at a bracelet or something on your arm, and remembering the Bible verse. A cross on your neck — whatever it may be.

Remembering these things and thinking about them. Praying in the Spirit, speaking in tongues in your prayer language. You can be doing all of these things throughout the day. Set a timer on your phone, if you need to, every hour, connect with God.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Then reduce that every half hour. I try to do it every 15 minutes.
Guess what? It’s hard, but that’s how you stay with God. And that’s how the demons flee from you, because if every 15 minutes you’re thinking of a verse or you’re praying to God or you’re speaking in a tongue, guess what? The demons are fleeing.

If you’re worshiping all the time, or you have worship music going on so that it’s always in your head, think of all these things you can do to continue worshiping God throughout the day. The demons will stay away. You’re not strong enough to do this on your own. You will fail. You need God. You will eventually fall into temptation.

Like some people falsely attribute it to Oliver Wilde, I believe, but “The only way to resist temptation is to give in to it.” Or “The only way to beat temptation is to give in.” But it was said by some philosophers long before then, but the point is, that’s not the truth.

The only way to beat temptation is to use God. Fight with Scripture and you will beat temptation. The demons are always trying to influence you. There’s a cool movie out. I caution anyone because it’s heavy and it’s very in-depth.

So if you have not been with us for a long time and you’ve not watched a lot of our sermons on specifically on demons and the powers they have and different things, and if you’re not super strong in your faith, then you need to either watch this with someone or watch it later.

After you’ve learned a lot more from other pastors, from Social Media Ministries, et cetera, read your Bible. The movie is called “Nefarious.” If you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talking about. It gives an example of how someone becomes possessed.

This guy was truly possessed by a demon or by demons, and it happens through a series of small choices. Punch a kid here when you’re five, steal something there, you know. Do lewd things, expose yourself.

They knew it was wrong growing up in childhood, but each time they unknowingly invite demons. That’s what they’re doing. This child is unknowingly inviting demons as time goes on, and pretty soon, this demon is then fully in control of this guy’s life. And it happens through those series of small changes. Because guess what?

You can only defend for so long. Eventually, you will break down, become weak, and lose unless the power of the Holy Spirit is within you. Then you will win. Let’s go to Romans 7:14-17.

Romans 7:14-17: “We know that the law is spiritual, but I am unspiritual. Sold as a slave to sin, I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, and if I agree that the law is good, it is no longer I myself who do it, but the sin living in me.”

Kind of confusing. Paul is saying you can be a slave to the law or a slave to sin. The law is good, — is God. Sin is bad — is demons — is the devil. You could be unknowingly inviting demons by being a slave to sin.

And when you do it, you know what’s right and wrong. You’re a Christian. You’re a believer. You know what you need to do, but when you do that, it’s not you that’s doing it. It is the sin in you. It is your flesh, your Earthly desire, that succumbs. You know it’s not good.

You don’t like it. You hate it. You hate what you do, so then what do you do? Well, the demons will try to beat you up and make you feel guilty and worthless. And you’ll just go through the self-pity and guilt.

But what God wants you to do is shun those demons, seek Him, admit your faults, confess your sins, ask for forgiveness — we got a whole sermon series on that, check it out. And guess what? God will forgive you. And then you can continue your life, living for Him.

That’s why you need Christ. He will help you fight. We have an entire sermon, several sermons. a playlist called “Fight Temptation.” Check that out as well because that will really help you. You gotta use Scripture exactly like Jesus did. So let’s go to Matthew to see that.

This is — we’re kind of in a long section, but Matthew 4, verses 1-11. I’m going to read through it, then I’ll briefly explain it. I encourage you to dive into this on your own.

“Then Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, ‘If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.’ Jesus answered, ‘It is written that, ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

“Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point in the temple. ‘If you are the Son of God,’ he said, ‘throw yourself down. For it is written, “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in your hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

That is in Psalms 91:1, I believe. We read it in one of our sermons previously. Check it out. “Jesus answered him, ‘It is also written, “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”’

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the Kingdoms of the world, and their splendor. ‘All this I will give to you,’ he said, ‘If you bow down and worship me.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Away from me, Satan, for it is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.”

Remember what I said a week ago or so? Angels are out there — the number of them is greater than the number against you. The number for you is greater than the number against you — the number against you is right next to you. There are demons on every side, prowling around like roaring lions, trying to devour you.

But there are angels out there in the horizon, in the distance, and when you fight back and resist temptation, and resist the devil and say, “Get out of here,” those angels come toward you. And what happens at that point?

These demons and devils flee. And when they flee, those angels intercept and attack and defeat, and they come through like bulldozers and plow over those demons. Those demons can’t get away fast enough, and they are around you attending you because God will command His angels concerning you.

And they will guard you day and night, night and day, all the time. And when you turn up the fire within you and operate in your gifts, and worship God, and pray in the Spirit, and operate in the gifts of the Spirit, and read your Bible, guess what happens?

That Holy Spirit within you ignites, and that flame gets bigger and bigger, and you burn brighter and brighter, and your light shines like Moses, who radiated the light of the Spirit. And what happens is those demons stay further and further away, because if you turn up the fire to the hottest temperature, you gotta stand back or you’ll get burned.

The same thing — those demons stand back when you are bright and filled with the Spirit. But if you let it dim down, those demons come closer and closer and closer. Turn up that fire. Get them away. You don’t want them to be near you.

So whenever something’s happening in your life, whenever things are happening, it’s feeling overwhelming. What do you need to do? Call on the name of the Lord and be saved. Remember, there is power in a name. We got a sermon on that from a long time ago. Check that out. But let’s go to Romans 10:3.

Romans 10:3, “Since they did not know that righteousness comes from God, and they sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.” You gotta submit to God’s righteousness. When you do, what do you do? What do you do? When you submit to God’s righteousness, then for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, they will be saved.

God will deliver you from evil. Those angels will be all around you, they will be fighting for you, they will keep demons away. Your righteous acts will keep demons away. You will be resisting demons, and they will flee from you. You can command them to go away, because that same power that Jesus had when He commanded Satan to leave, you have within you. Use it.

Let’s pray.

Lord Jesus, thank you so much for this time together. This is an excellent sermon series. Please inspire people to be filled with the Holy Spirit to let it burn brightly within them so bright that they start to radiate.

Let them have their light shine so bright that demons will flee, demons will shudder. That when demons look at them, they will see Jesus and that they will flee.

Lord, give them the desire to command those demons out of here, to command them out of their lives. Out of the lives of their children, out of their house, out of their family’s lives, out of the lives of their neighbors, out of the whole neighborhood.

God, give them the power and the willingness to seek you. They gotta do the work if they want the power. They gotta be in the Word. They gotta be praying. They got to be worshiping you.

God, give them that desire, that burning desire to set a timer on their phone every hour. Okay, every 45 minutes, every 30 minutes, every 15 minutes. So that all the time, every minute of every day, they are walking with you, and that they are burning bright for the Kingdom of God.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thanks so much for being with us through this sermon series. We’ve got a couple left, so I hope you stay tuned. In addition, share the playlist on your social media, because I hope you can agree, this is an excellent topic. And more people need to know about it, and they need to know how to keep those demons out of their lives.

Have a great week. God bless.
