Thank you for continuing to watch these monthly updates; I really enjoy giving them to you to keep you informed about what’s going on. What have we done in the month of September? We’ve continued posting our video sermons every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Central Time.
Why Wednesday? It allows you to go to church on Sunday, receive the message, and then, in the middle of the week when anxiety and overwhelming thoughts creep in, you can watch us for a dose of scripture and biblical empowerment. Of course, we hope that you are engaging with the Bible every day, participating in a small group or study, and fellowshipping with other believers.
You need to stay fueled up in the word every minute of every day, meditating on it day and night. Additionally, we have the Social Media Ministries podcast; if you can’t watch us online, listen while driving, mowing the lawn, or doing your housework. Put on an earbud and enjoy the podcast!
We have also continued the Ministry Minute, a minute-long devotional pushed out across various platforms. We’ve got the Ministry Minute video formats, which include TikTok, Instagram Shorts, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels—60 seconds filled with hope. You can listen to it anywhere, even on Alexa or through other streaming devices.
Currently, we are blasting the Ministry Minute out on various social media platforms, reaching anywhere from 700 to 1,000 people each day. I want to add a zero to that number! You can help us by watching on whatever platform you prefer. It would be fantastic if you could engage on all of them—like, share, repost, however you can!
I genuinely want to increase our reach to 7,000 to 10,000 people daily with Bible verses, promoting Jesus and salvation. Your engagement can make a difference; all you have to do is hit that share button! If you have comments or insights, please feel free to comment; I want to hear from you.
If it’s something like, “I love this verse” or “This is my favorite verse,” those are more than welcome. However, I’d prefer positivity in the comments rather than negativity. I’d rather have 100 comments expressing love for the verses than just one negative comment. Please flood the comments with encouragement!
What else have we done? I’d like you to join our Discord server. We started up a Discord server to build community for people around the world. With our reach of 700 to 1,000 a day through the Ministry Minute and our sermons, I want to bring everyone together.
On Discord, you can have discussions about sermons, Bible verses, and religion. You can even post prayer requests for others to pray for. It’s going to be a great community! Please check out the link in the description below to join our Discord server.
Another highlight from this month is that we have given away over a hundred Bibles, devotional books, and other Christian literature to the local Metro Twin Cities area in Minnesota. This has been accomplished through our Social Media Ministries Street Teams. If you’d like to support that effort, you can use text-to-give.
We have another update regarding text-to-give: you can text “Street Teams” to 44321. This provides you with an option to support our street teams, as we aim to go out weekly and preferably multiple times a week. Right now, we’re focusing on the Twin Cities Metro area.
We want to expand to cities across the U.S., going out with Bibles, devotionals, and Christian books. Our teams also pray for people and offer snacks or food. We set up tables in public parks, on street corners, and in homeless neighborhoods, even places like Skid Row.
We’re trying to reach out to those struggling with addiction and other strongholds. It’s important to us to be a light in these areas, to pray with people, and encourage them to read the books we provide. However, we also want to leave them with resources to engage with Social Media Ministries after we’ve left.
If you want to learn more about our street teams, feel free to contact us through our website. Again, we have text-to-give options. You can text “SMM Gift” for our general fund, or “Street Teams” to 44321. This all operates through a service called Give Lively.
A few months ago, we initiated a campaign focused on feeding children. You can text “Feeding Children” to 44321 as part of that effort. We have different campaigns, and you can fundraise for a specific cause that resonates with your heart.
Right now, we have campaigns for feeding children, our street teams, and a general fund. You can support any of these on Give Lively and fundraise for them through your social media if they touch your heart.
In September, we had our quarterly board meeting to review our past achievements and cast visions for the next quarter. At the end of the year, we’re planning a meeting to discuss our goals for the upcoming year.
