If you haven’t, check them out in a playlist because it’s really cool to see the progress and growth of Social Media Ministries. Hopefully, you’ve been a part of that. If you haven’t, please check us out online, follow us on social media, comment on our posts to help increase that engagement.
Like, follow, subscribe, and share—all of that great stuff. In addition, if you want to help us reach even more people by contributing financially, we would greatly appreciate that. You can do that online. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, praying that we can reach more people with the gospel of Christ.
So what have we done this month? We’ve continued the weekly sermons, going out video and podcast every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., so check that out—that’s been great. We’ve also continued the ministry minute, and that has really been growing.
Right now, we are reaching about a thousand people every single day with a Bible verse and devotion in just 60 seconds. That’s pretty cool! I’m hoping that by January 2025, I’ll be announcing we’re reaching 10,000 people every day. So help us out by commenting on those videos, reposting them, sharing them, etc.
What else? We are now affiliated with a platform called Simple Generosity. They used to be Good Coin. Back in 2022, we started communication with them, so this has been a two-year endeavor. If you’ve been with us, you’ve heard me mention that we were still waiting for Good Coin or that that was pending.
But now we are affiliated with them, called Simple Generosity. Basically, if you go on their website, you can now search for Social Media Ministries, and we show up there. What does it do for us? More exposure. We can now be in front of more people if they’re looking for a charity similar to ours.
Our keywords could come up in their search, so it’s more exposure. As for Charity Choice, which was that gift card platform we talked about, they denied us. They said they don’t want anything to do with faith-based or religious companies. That’s really too bad; they are anti-God and they don’t want to support charities or companies that deal with the Christian faith.
We’ve accepted that and we’ve moved on. One thing we are still with, that we’ve mentioned before, is Charity On Top. If you want to do any of those charity gift cards through your rewards platforms—whether it’s Inbox Dollars, MyPoints, Rutan, Ebates, Fetch, or different apps—you can redeem your points for a gift card to give to charity.
If you want to support us, choose Charity On Top. Since Charity Choice neglected us, we’re not with them. Charity On Top is the one we’re affiliated with, so if you see that in your rewards platforms and you want to use them for us or another charity, we recommend using Charity On Top over Charity Choice.
Another one is Tremendous. We’ve been working with them since 2022 trying to get affiliated to be another listed charity for people to donate through. However, they said no, they don’t add any new charities. It’s too bad; it’s taken us two years to finally get that answer.
However, we are affiliated with a company called Network for Good, and Tremendous does partner with them. In some circumstances, we’re hoping that if people search for us through Tremendous, it will pull us in through Network for Good, and we may be available as a “grandfathered in” through Tremendous.
So we’ll see what happens there. Again, we’re just going to shake it off—no big deal. The St. Paul Minnesota Foundation has been another challenge. We’ve been trying to get in with them since we started, but they declined and said they don’t want to add any new companies.
It’s disappointing that it has been a two-year process to get that answer, but I’m glad we finally have it. Another one is Catch a Fire. We’ve been trying for them ever since we started a couple of years ago. We finally got a hold of someone who said, “Hey, you are on our waitlist.”
So we are still processing new applications, but you are on our waitlist, so continue to check back. This is a good update! We are also on a platform called GiveSendGo. This is similar to GoFundMe; however, it is for fundraising specifically within the Christian faith.
People who are on there must have causes that are biblically sound; the doctrines are reviewed, and the donors know they are supporting causes that align with Christian biblical values. You can’t raise money to do something that disagrees with the Bible, like abortion; they wouldn’t allow that.
We are on there and have created a couple of fundraisers. We’ve created one right now that’s just a general fundraiser. It’s actually for me to have my income coming in so that I can continue to do Social Media Ministries.
I don’t want Social Media Ministries to pay me; I want the money in Social Media Ministries to go out to raise and build the kingdom. Currently, it hasn’t been a problem because there isn’t money in Social Media Ministries to pay me.
That’s why I started GiveSendGo! If you want to support the work I am doing for Social Media Ministries by donating to Spencer Coffman personally within GiveSendGo, that would be awesome. We’ll put that link in the description below.
Otherwise, if you want to get on GiveSendGo and you’re a Bible-based Christian believer in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, definitely sign up. You can support other believers and members of the body of Christ, which is exactly what the Bible tells us to do.
Get on there, check out the campaigns, and consider it. In addition, you can also start your own fundraisers for organizations like Social Media Ministries. That would be great! If you want to do that, reach out to us as well so we can help promote that and hopefully raise more money to build the kingdom of God.
The final thing we did this month, which is really cool, is that we have been working on a book based on our sermon series called “The End Times Prophecy.” We did that six or eight months ago; it was a 14-part sermon series that lasted about three months.
We have taken all those messages, edited the transcripts, and put them in book format. That book is out! It came out in January, so if you want to order your copy, check out the link in the description below. It’s going to be great!
Mine’s on order. I did an update this month and I’m hoping to receive the book in early February. I’ll do a video so you can check that out and see what the physical copy looks like. I’m pretty excited about that.
We plan to continue to release books based on our sermon series from “Till the End of Time” as we keep going. So keep an eye out for that. We’re probably going to try to release one to two books per year. All of those proceeds will go to support Social Media Ministries, the production of books, advertising, and trying to get more people to read those books, etc.
I know this has been a lot! Check out the description for a written summary and recap. Of course, please share this video and share our sermons. This video is important because it shows what we are doing, and you can see my energy and passion.
But we really want you to share the sermons and the ministry minutes because that is what matters. It’s the word of God we want to place in front of more people; it’s not me. We want the word of God, so share those other videos, like them, comment on them, subscribe, and repost all of that great stuff.
If you can, please remember to keep us in your prayers. We hope to continue to grow and have great volunteers because we need them. Volunteers are dropping like flies; they come and go like the wind.
We need some solid people who will stick with us and help continue the mission of spreading the word to the entire world using social media. Thank you, and God bless!
