This world has always hated the people who follow Yahweh, the one true god. Throughout history, kings, rulers, countries, and many groups have been killing Jews with the intent of making them extinct. Pharo, Haman, Herod, Nero, Stalin, Hitler, and others. Whatever the claimed reason, it all boils down to the fact that they followed Yahweh. This world hates Yahweh and wants to eliminate followers of Jesus.

Sadly, this is not going to stop. In fact, it will most likely get worse. Jews and Christians will be targeted. The fact is, Christians are a lot more difficult to find than Jews. Being Jewish is an ethnicity as well as a religion. Therefore, eliminating Jews has historically been easier. Now that being Jewish or Christian is no longer tied to ethnicity, it will be a lot more difficult for those who are evil to kill Jews and Christians.

Unfortunately, this means that those who are evil may simply start killing anyone and everyone in order to find those who they truly wish to eliminate. But do not be afraid. If you share your faith with more people, so that the number of Christians grows, then those who are evil will have fewer people on their side.

Today we are talking about killing Jews. Now you say, “Whoa, that sounds pretty bold and controversial.” Yes, but we are talking about Jews as the people of God, the chosen people—the tribes of the Israelites. The beginning from all throughout time, the Jews have been a persecuted nation, seriously from pretty much day one they have always been at opposition and they have always been targeted.

They are a nationality of people with a target on their backs. They have been hunted down and killed since really the beginning of time, since all history. In fact, look at the Pharaoh and Moses, Moses was an Israelite and Pharaoh did not want the Israelites to rise up, so he commanded that all Israelite males be thrown into the Nile River. Pharaoh was killing Jews.

Now at the time were they Jews? Were they people of Jerusalem? Well, it did not really exist yet, but they were God’s chosen people and they were the future, the ancestors of the Jews, so yes they were Jews, and Pharaoh was killing Jews. Another Pharaoh did a smaller-scale killing of Jews as well. So there are two examples right there in the Old Testament.

But perhaps the first known plot to really destroy the Jews and wipe them out as a whole, as a people, as an entirety, a race, a population of people, the first really documented plot to destroy everyone not simply males under two years or babies or however Pharaoh did it or anyone else in history, but the first one was really Haman.

We find that in the book of Esther. So if you have your Bibles, if you have not read Esther, you definitely have to. It is an excellent book. Great story about history. Let me just say, it is a great story about history and justice.

It has some excellent justice, and in fact, a lot of Shakespearean plays were no doubt derived from some of these stories are hand-in-hand with. Anyway, Haman was a man and he wanted to destroy the Jews, he just had a prejudice against them. He wanted to destroy them.

Esther Chapter 3 Verses 8 and 9, we are going to just read briefly into this and if you want please go back – read the book of Esther. “Then Haman said to King Xerxes, ‘There is a certain people dispersed and scattered among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom whose customs are different from those of all the other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws;

‘it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them. If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will put ten thousand talents of silver into the royal treasury for the men who carry out this business.’”

Now, of course, the king did not know who this group of people was. He trusted Haman and he allowed this to happen. Haman, through lies and deceit and trickery, ended up trying to go after and kill the Jews, almost through a bribe even. He said, “Ten thousand talents I will pay to have this done,” that is how much he hated them.

Continuing on through history, there are other documented times where the Jews as a people are killed. When Jesus was born, Herod gave a decree to go out and kill all the males under two years of age in the Jewish kingdom. Why? Well because he was the king and he thought that this new baby would become king of the Jews on earth.

He did not realize it was a heavenly king and so he said, “Hey, I want all the males under two years of age killed because that is in accordance with when the wise men came and all of this, so kill them all”—killing Jews.

Continuing on, we have got emperor Nero. That was kind of after. Even in the New Testament, people were persecuting the Jews but they were not really abolishing them or wiping them out. But Nero really had a vendetta against them.

In Spain also in the 1300s and 1400s, late 1300s to early 1400s, the Spaniards and in Spain, they went against all kinds of Jews and just tried to wipe them out. Stalin in the 1900s, a little more modern day—he had a vendetta against the Jews. He killed millions of Jews—not him personally but his effort, his war, his vendetta or persecution or ideology. They went out and slaughtered millions of Jews.

Then, of course, Hitler, the most recent in the 1950s. Hitler had what we know now as the Holocaust and it seems today that that is really the only instance that we study about killing Jews and it is the only one that is remembered, even though that has not been the worst in history. But it definitely was very bad.

So it is good that we remember these instances but we should remember a lot more than only one because throughout time this is a people group that has been constantly, constantly slaughtered, persecuted, killed, all kinds of stuff, tortured.

You think that there is racism going on, whatever race you are right now, there are a lot of movements happening. Whether it is with feminism, with the black lives, with reverse or anti-racism on white people, with the minorities of people coming in, whether it is the Somalis or the Arabs or Asians, there are all kinds of different prejudices or groups or things going on right now.

Yes okay, there may be a little bit with right suppression or something, but nothing has been as bad as what has been happening to the Jews. Take a look at this: these people were not simply prejudiced against or had their rights suppressed or separated or segregated, they were exterminated since the beginning of time. They have been in constant battle to simply stay alive. This is serious, this is serious business here.

I have a theory that maybe if the world started focusing a little bit more on things like this and less on things like false ideations or prejudices against color—I mean we are all human beings so why are we so worried about what someone looks like. I do not get why that has to be such a big deal.

I mean, I do get it. It is because we are blinded. So many people are blinded by the devil. They are living in lies and so they are fighting over stupid petty things. When really, we are all humans and there are bigger issues going on than to worry about how someone dresses or what style they are in or what clique they are in or something like that, what group they are a part of in high school.

People’s lives have been at risk for millennia and we are worried about whether these people can only wear these colors or these people have to wear like this and these people matter and these people do not. No, no, we all matter. If we stood together maybe things like this would not happen.

But back to the Jews. The reason they were targeted is not really because of their nationality. They were not targeted because they were Jewish. Now of course, yes, they have been targeted because they are Jews. You look at the World War II propaganda that was created. That was perhaps the best marketing campaign or the best use of marketing to get a nation to hate a people and we are still using it today.

The Black Lives Matter movement, the feminist movement, these movements are using marketing and propaganda to change things. Even before the Black Lives Matter, we had whatever whoever group it was, I do not even know. It could have been a black person that hated their own race or it could have been white people that hated black people with the marketing propaganda that started racism or even the Ku Klux Klan.

What a horrible group of people, that just went out there and killed for no reason. There are just so many things and they are all blinded by hate and the devil and now the Jews, they were persecuted and killed, yes, because of how they looked or how they dress, or what they wore, yes, but it goes beyond that for them.

It goes beyond that. The Jews have not just been targeted because of their nationality, but they are targeted because of their faith and what they stand for. If you have not seen that sermon about trials building endurance, check it out. It is on the YouTube channel, “Trials Build Endurance,” or you can find it in your podcast feed as well.

The Jews are people of God. They have historically been people of God, of the one true God Yahweh. The religion of course nowadays has become flawed. Yes, it has. I know I could be offending a lot of people today with all of these different movements or sayings, but yes, the Jewish religion has become flawed.

Why? Because they do not believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The Jews have not believed their own prophecies. The whole Old Testament was filled with prophecies about the Messiah. They knew better than anyone the prophecies of the Messiah, but then when Jesus came, they did not believe it and even when Jesus died, they still did not believe it. They tried to sweep it under the rug.

Of course, some of them believed. Look at the apostle Paul, Saul, he was a huge persecutor of Jews, of Christianity, of the newer Christian movement. He said, “No, we need to stay Jewish, not become Christian,” and then of course eventually he converted and realized that “Wow everything I have been studying for my whole life has now come true. This is the Messiah.”

Now the Jews, of course, have given up this thing. They are still waiting on this Messiah that has already come. They have missed the boat. So the Jews as a nation, as a people, have their chosenness as the people of God shifted?

Now you say, “Whoa wait a minute. Are you saying that the Jews are no longer the chosen people of God? What does that mean for Israel?” Well, if you go to Israel, do they believe in Jesus or do they believe that they are still waiting for the Messiah?

Is a land mass the chosen people of God and whoever lives there, they are the chosen people? No, the only reason people are chosen by God is because they follow Him and believe in what He is saying.

You can be a chosen person of God if you live your calling and follow what God is telling you to do. You are chosen. We all have that ability. The Bible says, “Many are called but few are chosen.” Why? Wait a minute, if many are called, you are called. Few are chosen because few step into the calling, if you step into the calling you are chosen automatically.

God chose you. It is not that you are chosen and then called. No, you are called and then you are chosen. Why? Because you responded. The Jews did not respond. They have neglected it. Jesus said, “Hey, I am this Messiah that you have been waiting for,” and they said, “No, you are not.”

They did not respond to what happened. They did not step into what they were supposed to be and so now who are the chosen people? Well if the Jews are not going to be saved, where do we go? Gentiles? That means that if you want to be chosen, you need to step into your calling.

Christians, now of course a lot of people just call themselves Christians, that does not necessarily mean they are a Christian. You are a Christian if you believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, that He is the Lord and Savior, you have invited Him into your life, He has forgiven your sins, and you believe that He died on the cross to pay for your sins. Then step into your calling. Live for God and become the chosen people of God.

The Christians are the new people that are going to be hunted down and killed. They will be. Make no mistake, Christians are in for a rough time. As time goes on, may not be now, it may not be in your lifetime, it may not be in my lifetime but in generations to come. Yes, they will be persecuted just like in the days of Nero, just like the days of Jesus.

1 Peter 4:13-16, “But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or a thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.”

One of the best Verses for people who are being persecuted. If you suffer as a Christian, praise God that you bear that name, that you are fortunate enough to be called a Christian. When someone tries to persecute you Christians, they are now the persecuted people of the world, they are the hated people of the world. I believe that behind all of these movements, whether it is racism, feminism, black lives, white people behind all of that, is a hatred toward Christianity.

Perhaps the reason that some of these got started or even the KKK, maybe the people they were after were Christian and of course, they were not people of God, but perhaps the black people that they were killing were Christian or were following God and these people were trying to wipe them out.

Satan is using anything he can to divide and to kill and to prowl and he is stealing and he is doing everything, he is devouring everything he can, using any means necessary. Be on your guard. Look out for that. Christians are being targeted, however, it may be and it is probably in disguise, in a lot of different methods.

Christians are not a people group like the Jews or like Asians or Americans or whoever, Christians are not a people group, so they are harder to find. Which means the devil is going to start wiping out people groups or pitting people against each other or civil wars or things like that.

Why? Because he does not care. He will kill whoever, and if they are a Christian, he has got them and they are done. Anyone who gets killed and is not a Christian, well according to the devil, that is just another one he claimed because he did not lose that person—they are his. He does not care.

The war against Christianity is going to be many times worse than the war against the Jews. We are always under attack. Check out a sermon that we have done months and months ago, you can see that, “Always Under Attack.” The people are going to begin killing anyone in order to get to the Christians.

I am serious. They will just start killing people and if you say yeah, you are, then they will kill you. If they want information about someone and you give it to them, they will kill you anyway, and if you do not give it to them, they will kill you.

They are just gonna kill. It will not matter to them. They are gonna kill. They will not care whether or not someone is a Christian. Check out the End Times prophecy. We did a whole sermon series on it based on the book of Daniel and his visions.

If they are in the way of their mission, they are going to kill. If they are in the way of finding Christians, they will die. Prepare yourselves. This is going to be something like nothing you have ever seen before.

John 16:33, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace in this world. You will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” That is Jesus speaking. He says in this world you will have trouble, there are going to be trying times, but take heart, Jesus has overcome the world.

We are not of this world. We are of a different Kingdom, so for us to die is the best thing. We get to leave and go home. Of course, we want to live here as long as possible so that we can help others make that change. Step into the light and become a follower of Christ.

Let’s pray. Lord, thank You very much for everything that You do for us, for this message of insight. I ask that people’s eyes will be opened, that they will look at this and see more. That they will say it is more than just a war, it is more than simply a people group or fighting against races or gangs or mafias or vendettas or family feuds or whatever the terms are, it is more than all of that, it is deeper.

It is a targeting against Your people, against the people who follow You, and of course, may change into something else or may span or grow or exponentially harm others as well. But the root of it all is a battle between good and evil, light and dark. God, I ask that You would inspire them to step into the light, to disassociate from any of the movements that are going on.

That the only thing they would be concerned about would be the movement of furthering and building the Kingdom of God in Jesus’ name. That they would continue to work and to fight and to prosper and to be fruitful and multiply so that more people will come to know and follow You. Lord, I ask that they would be on their guard and that they would accept their calling and become the chosen people of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Many are called, few are chosen. Be chosen. God wants you. We have talked about that before. We have talked about a lot of this before. I hope that you subscribe to the channel so that you can continue to get these messages. Have a great week. God bless.
