Hey everyone! My name is Spencer Coffman with Social Media Ministries. Welcome to the June 2024 monthly update and status report. June has been a pretty good month for us. We’ve continued with weekly sermons every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, so tune in for a great message!

If for some reason you miss it, you can check it out on our website. You can also listen to the podcast, which we’ve continued every single week. That podcast comes out every Wednesday as well, so if you don’t want to watch the video on YouTube, you can listen to it pretty much anywhere podcasts are available.

What I’d really like you to do is subscribe to our YouTube channel. In addition, please subscribe or follow our podcast on as many platforms as you can. I understand that if you subscribe on multiple places, you might get multiple notifications, but you can turn off the notifications.

Please stay subscribed or keep following, as it really helps us out and shows that there’s interest in what we are doing. Now, is it phony or is it real? It’s real! If you are interested, you can follow us on multiple platforms.

We’ve continued the sermons and the podcasts. In addition, every single day for over two years now, we’ve been doing the ministry minute, which is a daily devotional video that offers 60 seconds of hope or a Bible verse with a devotion about that verse.

The goal is to provide inspiration and hope for every single person who watches, listens, or follows every day. We’ve done the ministry minute videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms, in addition to the ministry minute podcast, which is available pretty much everywhere podcasts can be found.

If you’re not subscribed or following that, please consider doing so because, guys, it’s only 60 seconds! You can get 60 seconds of daily inspiration that I guarantee will really help your day. It’s a Bible verse—the word is alive and active!

Even if you don’t listen to the rest of what I’m saying, just getting that verse will speak to you—if you let God use it in your life every single day. So, I challenge you to that! We also had our quarterly board meeting in June, and that was nice.

We took a look at the past quarter, what we accomplished, what tragedies or setbacks have occurred, and what we can do in the next quarter to either make up for it or continue moving forward. The sermons, the podcasts, and the ministry minute— all of that stuff is excellent!

You know, interacting with you all in the comments or on social media is great, but what we really want to do is reach those who aren’t being reached. We want to target the next generation, specifically kids ages 16 to 25 who are in high school and college.

They are turning from the faith and walking away, while the world is overpowering them. We need your help to do that! You can help by sharing on your social media to reach them as well. So we evaluated everything and got a new focus for our board meetings, as well as a trajectory for the next quarter.

We hope to be very, very productive. In the upcoming monthly updates, you will see that progress. Please pray for us as well, in Jesus’ name! We also have transcribed and translated a lot of videos—probably more in the last quarter than in the past year.

Thank you to our volunteers who have been helping us out with that! If you have transcription or editing experience, please consider reaching out. Even if you can only do a few hours a week, transcribing just one video weekly would be very helpful.

We’re currently translating into five languages, which is wonderful! What are those languages, you ask? That’s a little test for me: Arabic, French, Spanish, Filipino, and Vietnamese. We’re working hard to translate into those five languages to reach other nations.

YouTube does provide automatic translations into about 120 languages, which is excellent, but it can be cumbersome for viewers. It may not be completely accurate either, which is why we have made those five translations available.

If there are other languages in demand, we will most likely be adding more, so pray that demand increases and that we have more help and funding to do that accurately. Again, if you can help us out with that, please let us know!

In the next quarter, we want to start fundraising a lot more. You may see more videos and social media posts dedicated to fundraising. Please keep an open heart and open mind, as we need your support!

Why are we doing that? Because we are running on fumes—we literally have less than $100 in our account. Why, you ask? Well, Spencer Coffman is not independently wealthy enough to continue pouring in money.

We also faced some unexpected expenses, including a computer that crashed on us. We had to buy a new one, which cost several thousand dollars. We raised about $2,000, but I personally covered the rest, and so our account is empty.

Social Media Ministries is running out of money, and we need more to continue operations, sermons, translations, videos, and more. We need volunteers, and we must pay to get memberships with volunteer platforms to recruit volunteers. Everything costs money, you know that!

If it’s in your heart to support Social Media Ministries financially, please consider doing so. You can do that on our website, where we offer a variety of giving options. Additionally, we want to start trying to do more grant writing or research to find available funds for Christian organizations and nonprofits.

If that’s something in your wheelhouse, please consider reaching out to help us. We need a lot of volunteer assistance in several areas—marketing, email, social media messaging, and more. If you’re interested, please check that out!

You can visit our website to work with us and see the various options available. We’ll also have links in the description below, if you want to give or volunteer your time or money. Please consider reaching out to us.

Always keep us in your prayers, as we have many goals and need a lot of help. We require the power of prayer on our side, so continue praying for us and supporting Social Media Ministries. Thank you so much for doing that! Have a great month, and we’ll see you next month. God bless!
