Share these sermons with other people so we can reach more people with the Gospel of Christ and continue to grow the body of believers because guess what? This world needs godly people. I’m not talking about people that say they’re Christians or that just go to church.
I’m talking about doers of the Word — people who read the Bible. Who pray to God. Who are fully baptized in the Holy Spirit, and operating in the gifts. That they will go out there and make disciples of all nations. Not simply make converts, but make disciples.
That’s you. That’s your calling. God wants you to be different in this world. He wants you to get out there and reach the unreached people. He wants you to help other people do the same. So if you are at home and you are working. You’re making a great living. God has blessed you.
Then guess what? Maybe it’s not your calling to go to those places, but it might be your calling to support people who are going to those places because how beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news?
And how can they go there unless they are sent? It’s your job to help send people. Even if you’re going. Guess what? You should still be sending support to others to do the work of evangelism, of bringing the Bible, the Gospel, to other places.
And I know that in some places, it may seem impossible. Like in some countries, many countries, there are over 200 countries in the world, and guess what? Quite a few of those — probably 20 or so — it is illegal to be a Christian. Now check out the stats and you can see it.
There are a lot of nations and a lot of states that Christianity is very very dangerous. A lot of places in Asia. Some places, if they know that you’re a Christian, they’ll just kill you. It’s completely illegal and yet people are going there to try to share Jesus.
This is very, very important, and I know it may seem impossible. That’s one of the things we’re doing here on Social Media Ministries. Is giving out these messages and these devotionals and this Bible preaching, and we are reaching those areas.
We’re trying to get advertising in those countries, because sometimes, some places, they close their borders. You can’t even get into the country. Some places in the Middle East — if I wanted to go there, I can’t. I can’t go there.
Even if you wanted to go there as a Christian, you can’t go there. They won’t even allow you into the country. And you say, “Well I’ll just go in there saying I’m not a Christian,” or trying to sneak in. You can’t get in.
And so although it might be impossible to physically go there. Guess what? The Internet is still there, and yes, the government could be blocking any keywords that are associated with Christianity or religion, but we have sermons and we have messages that are messages of life, and messages of encouragement that can still get in there.
How do we do that? We need money to pay to advertise in those places. So if you can’t go there, and you’re not sending someone there, consider putting an advertisement there. You could donate to Social Media Ministries. We can do that.
But what is the point of all of this stuff that I’m saying? It sounds like it’s impossible. How can we even reach those people? How can we get into those places? “Some places in the jungle don’t even have Internet so what are you going to do then, huh Spence?”
Well, guess what? That’s where we have to physically go there. Some places don’t have Internet, but you know what? There are people in the world that are working on these weather balloon things that can go up in Africa and provide free Internet all over the place.
So when that happens, then yes, we can be there virtually. Until then, we need to be physically going. We need to be doing both because what happens when a team of missionaries goes somewhere, provides these people with all this great stuff, plants the seed and then they leave? How can that continue to grow? It’ll grow up and wither and die.
Well, that’s where leaving them with resources comes into play. Maybe these places don’t have leaders or churches yet. They’re just getting established. Well they could stream a sermon and have a regular church virtually.
The world has incredible technology, so even though this may seem impossible, with God all things are possible, and that’s what we’re talking about today.
Yes, reaching the world may seem like an impossible situation, but even though it might be impossible for us, for humans to do, with God it’s possible.
So guess what? Get out there and do it anyway because God will make a way. So if there is any type of desperation or any situation in your life that seems impossible, you need to trust God because nothing is impossible with God.
Let’s take a look at the Bible. Luke 1:37, “For nothing is impossible with God.” There you go. That’s it. Nothing is impossible with God. You need to ask God to help you.
Of course, you need to make sure you’re asking God for the right things. Check out our sermon there to know that you’re “Asking God For the Right Things.”
He wants to help you. God is simply waiting for you to allow Him to step in to fight your battles, to deliver you from situations. You need to let God fight for you. We have another sermon on that so check that out: “Let God Fight Your Battles.”
He wants to. He is the most powerful being. Let Him fight your battles for you. Let Him make a way. You need to act on faith, and you need to go forth living according to God’s will, and if you do that, He will make a way.
With God, anything can be done. Philippians 4:13, if you have it memorized, say it with me: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength,” or “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Different translations. Different versions, but the bottom line is you can do all things through Christ, who gives you the strength to do it.
How do you get that strength? You need to start doing it. God’s not going to just say, “Here, here’s all the strength. Here’s all the money. Here’s all the finances. Here’s all your tickets. Here are all your visas. Here’s everything that you need to go do this.”
He’s going to say, “No, you start doing it, and I will provide you with blessings along the way.” Remember the story about Jesus when they came and wanted the temple tax, and He tells Peter and the fisherman, “Hey, go throw your line in the water and catch some fish, and that’s how we’ll pay the temple tax.”
The version in the Gospels, it says, “Inside its mouth, you will find a coin to pay for Jesus’s tax and Peters.” Isn’t that something? In other gospels that aren’t part of the canon, it says, “Go catch the fish then, sell the fish and you will get money to go pay the temple tax.”
Both cases show… Jesus, He could have just snapped His fingers. Boom. “Okay, here are the coins. Here’s our tax. Go away you hypocrites.” But no, He said to his disciples, “Go and do this.”
“When you do the work according to my will, I will reward you with the fruit of your labor that you can then use to appease whatever it is, who is burdening or oppressing you.”
God wants you to do the work. You can do all things through Him who gives you the strength to go do it. So it doesn’t mean you can do all things, it means God can do all things. God can do it according to His will.
Let’s go to the Book of Job. Job is a great story. Old Testament. We’re going to go to Job 42:2. “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.” This is Job talking to God.
He knows. He knows God can do it, and if it’s in God’s plan, then nothing else stands a chance. God’s plan will prevail. The question is, are you going to be a part of it and work with it, or are you going to work against it?
Remember, what happened to Jonah? God had a plan. “Jonah, go to Nineveh. Tell those people to turn from their evil ways of worshiping the fish and the sea creatures, and guess what? They will be redeemed.”
Jonah says, “No, I hate the Ninevites. I’m not going there,” — goes the opposite way. God says, “I have a plan. You’re either going to follow it or you’re going to go through misery until you do follow it.”
What happened to Jonah? Storm, thrown into the sea, belly of a whale, swims over, vomited up — nastiness — then has to make his way all the way back over to Nineveh. God also brought him a lot closer, but then he still had to go to Nineveh. Do what God said to do.
And then Jonah still didn’t believe in God’s plan. And he watched while he was hoping Nineveh would be burned up by God, but the people listened and repented, and then, of course, if you read the story of Jonah, which you should, you know that God taught Jonah another lesson after that.
The point is you need to be with God’s plan. Not against God’s plan. Jeremiah 32:27 says, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
How big are your dreams? Are you limiting God? Are you saying, “Man, I’d love to donate a thousand dollars to church or to charity or Social Media Ministries,” or “I’d love to pay whatever, but I just don’t have the money.”
Are you limiting God? Really. You think He’s not going to provide for you? Of course, He’s going to provide. He has the cattle on a thousand hills. He has all the treasuries. God has everything. He will provide.
Is anything too hard for Him? God may be telling you to go. Or tell you to start a business, or tell you to do something or say, “Hey, I want you to dedicate whatever. I want you to do a reverse tithe. 90 percent is for Kingdom, 10 percent is for you. You’re going to make a million dollars a year.”
And you’re like “What, a million dollars a year? I’m going to give away $900,000?” Guess what? You can live on 100 grand a year. Is anything too hard for God? And you’re like, “A million a year!”
It’s not too hard. He can do it. You just have to do the work. And you need to make sure you’re with God’s plan. I’m not saying all these numbers are going to be set in stone for you.
I’m saying that you need to trust God. Be faithful in the little things. Maybe now you only make a hundred grand a year. What can you live on? Can you live on 50 and give away 50? I don’t know, maybe.
Be faithful in the little things. Maybe you only make 50,000 a year. Can you give away 20 of that? That’d be pretty tough, but can you do it? Can you be faithful to God with the little things? Can you build His Kingdom?
Maybe you will just give 10 percent, but then are you doing the work God wants you to do. Are you out there in your free time building the body of Christ? Or are you sitting on the couch playing video games or games on your phone, or what?
What are you doing with your extra time? What are you doing at your workplace? What are you doing with your life? Are you living the life God wants you to live, are you building heavenly wealth? Or are you building wealth here on Earth?
Consider what Jesus told the disciples about the rich person. Matthew 19:24, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Does this mean God doesn’t want you to be rich? Of course not. We have a sermon “Okay to be Rich.” Check that out.
The point is, God is saying, “If you store up all your wealth in material things, in earthly riches and that’s what you’re focused on, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because that is your god.”
You are tied to possessions and wealth. You are coveting them. You are greedy. You want them, but if God told you to let that go, and to go do something else, if it would be too hard for you to let it go, then guess what?
You really need to let it go because nothing should come between you and God. Now I’m not saying God’s telling you to get rid of everything and to not have a 401k or a savings account or an emergency fund or investments.
No, God wants you to have all those things. God is telling you to have all those things. We have a sermon called “Provide For Your Family.” Leave an inheritance. It’s a series so check that out. God wants you to build wealth. He wants you to build the Kingdom, and He wants you to be very, very generous.
So you need to work hard. You need to build wealth, and you need to be generous with that wealth because God is giving it to you so you can help others. And I’m not talking about socialism as in you work hard, and this person doesn’t do any work, and you just give it to them. No, Paul says if the one who doesn’t want to work, he doesn’t eat.
So guess what? You all need to be working hard. God will reward you with your wealth, and then when you give your money or when you tithe or when you donate, you need to be giving to causes that you know align with biblical values.
Because guess what? There are a lot of scams out there. There are a lot of big companies like United Way even, or Salvation Army. What do their CEOs make? What are their bonuses in the tens of millions of dollars? That can’t seem right.
But companies like Convoy of Hope. They’re going out there. They’re doing work on the ground. They’re spreading the Gospel and what are they making? What are they giving? The money that’s coming in is also going out to build the Kingdom. That’s the point.
God wants you to be very wealthy so you can build the Kingdom, but you can’t be tied to that wealth. That can’t be your focus. Your focus needs to be on heavenly treasure, using earthly treasure as a tool, as a means. You are a steward of it, and you need to get out there and do the impossible with Christ.
That’s what Jesus was telling these disciples. That it is easier for a rich person or a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for the rich person to enter Heaven. And they’re like, “Well then, how is this even possible?” Well the point is, it’s not. It is, it is practically impossible.
And the disciples are concerned because then they’re like, “Well, who then can be saved? It’s… We… No one can go to Heaven?” and Jesus is saying, “Hey, with humans, it is impossible.” Impossible?
But with God, all things are possible. You can’t save yourself. You need to rely on God. You can’t get to Heaven using your own means. You need Jesus to get you there. Let’s go to Ephesians 2, Verses 8 and 9.
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from your yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast.”
So there’s nothing you do that will get you into Heaven and you say, “Well then, what am I doing? Why would I want to give my money? Why would I want to go to a place? Why would I want to support missionaries? Why would I want to donate? Why would I want to work hard and then work doing things for God, if there’s nothing I can do that will get me into Heaven?”
You do it because you love Him. Jesus says, “If you love me, obey my Commandments. If you love me, take care of my sheep.” If you love God, you will do what He wants you to do, and that’s what He wants you to do.
He wants you to take care of your brothers and sisters in Christ. He wants you to take care of the poor and those less fortunate. He wants you to help other people. He wants you to do so in a godly fashion.
He wants you to manage your money in a godly way. He wants to bless you increasingly with wealth and connections, and open doors, assets, and businesses so that you can use them to build the Kingdom of God. It is only through God that imperfect people like us can be saved, that we can go to Heaven. Let’s go to John 14:6.
John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” You can’t get there without God. You need Jesus to get to the Father. Your works cannot get you there, but guess what? God makes the impossible possible.
Matthew 19:26, “Jesus looked at them and said ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Thereby saying that yes, even though something may seem impossible, whether it is the rich going into the Kingdom of Heaven. Or whether it is you going into a foreign country. Or whether it is you donating more money. Or you donating more time. Or volunteering. Or this or that. Or having more children, raising them up to be godly people so that we can grow the body of Christ faster than those who aren’t of the body of Christ — it may seem impossible.
Your government, your political situation, may seem impossible. Trust God. With God, all things are possible. You need to trust God, not only with some impossibility in your life but with all the impossible situations in your life.
Let’s go to 1 Peter 5:7. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” God cares for you. He wants to help you. You need to ask Him. God is simply waiting for you to ask for blessings.
There’s that joke of when people go into Heaven, there’s like this big building. It’s called “The Hall of Blessings,” and you get in there, and it’s all these unopened gifts and they’re like “Wow, look at this!”
“Come on, let me show you your name,” and it’s like this huge area of all these unopened boxes. And they say, “What is this?” “These are all the gifts God was going to give you but you didn’t ask.”
Now, of course, this is a joke or a story, but hey, guess what? If there’s any truth to that, when I get to my place, I want it to be empty because guess what? I received all those gifts while here on Earth because I’m asking God to bless me abundantly. And you might say, “Is that selfish?”
No. God wants you to ask. Don’t ask for certain things like, “Oh God, give me more money.” Well, what are you going to do with that money? That you may spend it on your pleasures like James says?
No, you’re not going to receive. You need to be asking for the right things and living in accordance with God’s will, and when you live in accordance with God’s will, He will continue to bless you abundantly.
So continue to ask for that. Then continue to show that you are reliable and faithful and steward what He gives you. Properly building the Kingdom of Heaven. Doing His will here on Earth. Be His hands and feet here on Earth. Let’s go to Psalms 55:22.
Psalms 55:22 says “Cast your cares on the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will never let the Righteous fall.”
Be righteous and you will prevail. The impossible will be made possible with God. Be the instrument of God here on Earth. Do what He wants you to do. How do you know what He wants you to do? Read your Bible. Pray. Spend time in the Word. Meditate on it day and night, and pray constantly, continuously, with all kinds of prayers and requests. Let’s pray.
Thank you Lord for this message. I pray that it will inspire people to get out there and be doers of the Word, that they would have a hunger for your will to be done here on Earth. That they would have such a desire to see your will.
That they would hate evil, that they would want to correct it and that they would learn all they can about your Word, and that they would spend time with you every minute of every day constantly, thinking about the Bible.
That it would always be on their lips, that they would be excellent witnesses, that they would go forth into all the world. That they would help others go forth into all the world.
That they would support and be generous with their time, with their wealth, and that you would continue to bless them abundantly, and Lord, make it apparent to them that they will see that when they have trusted you, and when they’re living for you, and when they are donating their time and their wealth.
That they have way more than they did before they were doing that, that they will be blessed abundantly, and that would be very apparent, and that they would continue to give you the glory, that they would be tied to your heavenly Kingdom, to heavenly wealth rather than earthly things. In Jesus’ name, amen.
That’s your job. Get out there. Make disciples of all nations build the Kingdom here on Earth, and with God, the impossible will become possible. Have a great week and God bless.
