Hello and welcome to Social Media Ministries! This is the March 2024 monthly update and status report. March has been a crazy month for us. We’ve continued to post a video sermon each week, and we’re in the middle of a great sermon series, so I hope you check it out.

Please subscribe to the channel, like the videos, and share them with more people. Why? Because we want to reach them and help them understand and interpret the scriptures in the Bible. We’ve also continued on with the podcast, so even if you’re watching on YouTube, please get on your favorite podcast platform and find our podcast.

Subscribe, as it will help our numbers and enable the podcast platforms to promote us a little bit to reach more people. We’ve additionally continued the ministry minute. Each and every day, we post a one-minute devotional Bible verse and then a devotional about it on social media.

We’ve been doing that for over 500 days now, which has been really great. People are engaging with that content on social media, and we have a podcast for the ministry minute as well. So get on whatever podcast platform, watch the video, watch the reel, share it, like it, and repost it.

Why? Because we want to reach more people with these words, so that’s very, very important. We’re continuing to do that and currently reaching about 500 people each day who are being inspired and uplifted by the ministry minute Bible verse.

That is awesome! We want to grow that—not for us, but to bring glory to God and get more people understanding and interpreting the scriptures in the Bible. Moving on, we have applied with the United States Postal Service to become what is called a verified nonprofit or charity.

With this status, when you get letters in the mail, they will have a little stamp that indicates nonprofit or presorted standard, allowing for a discounted rate. Sometimes they even send letters for like a nickel when it typically costs 65 cents.

We’ve applied to receive that status and were approved, so that is exciting! I don’t know what we’re going to do with it yet. Obviously, we hope to eventually be sending out mailers to raise awareness and get partnerships, donations, or grants.

Are you sensing a common theme? The goal is to follow the Great Commission of Jesus; we want to reach people all around the world. So it’s great to have that status now—we just need to start using it!

In 2024, we have received our Platinum level with Candid or GuideStar. GuideStar is kind of the gold standard place for nonprofits. If you tell someone you’re a nonprofit, they might check GuideStar and see: “Oh, Social Media Ministries! Wow, you guys have Platinum.”

They’ll find all your data and information there. This shows that we are legitimate, which helps us when we receive grants or when we approach organizations, donors, or partnerships with other nonprofits.

A lot of people look you up on GuideStar, as it’s like the Kelley Blue Book of nonprofits. So we received our 2024 Platinum level, and that is exciting! However, we also faced some misfortune in March. Satan is just trying to attack us like crazy, beating us down on social media with negative comments from his followers.

But that’s fine; we battle back by sharing the love of Jesus. A major blow was when our computer went out, which is huge because we need that to edit and post our sermons. Obviously, it’s Social Media Ministries, so our work is all done online.

We can do a limited amount with a mobile device, but a lot of it is on the computer. Since our computer died, we’ve started raising money to get a new one. Thank you to anyone who has donated and answered the call instantly when we cried out for help.

You guys have sent in some money, and it’s unbelievably appreciated as we look to buy this new computer. If you’re watching this and want to be a part of that, feel free to donate. We still need money because we require this computer to continue producing content.

We’ve received a good percentage of the funds, but the rest will go on a credit card because we can’t be without a computer. We’ve got to carry on with production. Hopefully, we can pay that off before we have to incur any interest.

If not, it’s fine—we will make it happen, and God always provides. Of course, if you’re watching this video years from now and say, “Well, this is old, I don’t need to donate,” yes, we still have needs!

We could acquire multiple computers, more technology, and upgrades. Hopefully, we will eventually have many computers with a bunch of people working on them, so there will always be a need. If you have any questions about that, please comment below.

We also had our quarterly board meeting, which was good. We went over what we did in the last quarter, set goals for the next quarter, and it’s nice to review everything to keep the direction going for Social Media Ministries.

The final accomplishment this month is that we launched something called channel memberships. YouTube offers this for certain creators who meet their standards, allowing fans or the audience to become monthly members and support the channel.

Now, with Social Media Ministries, if you decide to do that through YouTube, you’re essentially becoming a monthly donor. We have different amounts, ranging from the price of a dollar menu sandwich or a cup of coffee, up to the price of a meal at a restaurant.

Those will likely change as we grow and as our needs change. We also offer a variety of perks with that membership, which we hope to expand as we receive more help or volunteers.

We can provide more for our donors and members in return for their loyal support of this channel. I hope that you consider making a contribution, whether it’s through becoming a YouTube channel member or via another method, like credit card, Stripe, PayPal, or Facebook donation.

You have a ton of different ways to support us, and you can find all those in a playlist in the card up here if you’re watching on YouTube. Otherwise, go to our website or YouTube channel, and you can find all that information.

March has been a great month. We still need prayer, support, and volunteers. If you are interested in helping us out in any of those ways, please do so. You can comment below if you have any questions.

I hope that you are as excited as we are about what is coming forward in Social Media Ministries as the months progress. Stay tuned, hit that like button, and subscribe to keep updated on the Social Media Ministries monthly updates.
