This Month in Ministry | January 2026 Monthly Update

Hello and welcome to the January 2026 monthly update and status report for Social Media Ministries. My name is Spencer Coffman. Thanks so much for tuning in this month. January has been a very, very cold month here, but guess what? We’re still making progress.

Each and every week we put out a sermon, so hopefully you are enjoying those. It is a weekly message, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. In addition, uh, the reason we put that out on Wednesday is so you can go to church. So, I hope you found a local church wherever you are watching from, wherever you live.

Then midweek, you tune in to learn more about God, about the Bible, with a Social Media Ministries sermon. So, in addition to that sermon, we also put out the weekly podcast. So, if you can’t watch on YouTube or on our website, then we hope you listen on your favorite podcasting platform to the Social Media Ministries podcast.

Also, we’ve continued to put out the ministry minute videos. These are one minute videos or 60-second reels, shorts that are going out across social media on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Twitter, all kinds of places, Pinterest, YouTube, anywhere we can get it because guess what? We want to fill social media with the word of God.

And that is the goal. You see, the devil is the prince and the power of the air. He is known as the prince and the power of the air. And when we use social media, we are broadcasting the Bible, broadcasting life, broadcasting the word of God across the airwaves.

We are fighting him in his domain, in his territory, which is really our territory because Jesus has the victory. So guess what? We are just making that known to the devil. And we are going to continue to do so.

And we hope you partner with us in doing that by sharing, liking, subscribing, whatever, anything you can think of to help increase the word of God on social media. Even if it’s posting your own Bible verse, whatever it is, we got to work together and be one body, united with one common goal. Which is to advance the kingdom in all the worlds, physically, metaphysically, reality, virtual reality.

So, we’ve continued that. That’s the Ministry Minute. We also went out and continued with the Ministry Minute podcast. So, for those people who they, they don’t like watching those reels or scrolling through feeds, they can listen on their favorite podcasting platform.

60 seconds. They can have their smart device play it. Play the Ministry Minute podcast. Boom. And it gives them a Bible verse and an explanation in 60 seconds.

They can do that every single day, whether it’s like an Alexa skill or on Google or whatever their smart device is. So that has been pretty exciting. Also, because it has been so cold, we’ve limited on the book distribution outreaches.

So what we’ve done is kind of taken an assessment and an inventory, and we’ve ordered more books so that we can start gearing up this spring to be distributing books like crazy. Bibles, devotionals, gospels, tracks, Bible study books, all kinds of books.

In addition, we’re going to start collecting more and more Christian books that we are going to be reserving for the Gideon Barnabas library project.

So, if you aren’t familiar with that, check that out on our website. But that’s going to launch. I mean, it has launched, and it’s going to really make progress this year. I

t’s something that, man, we really, I’d like to open up, I mean, if I say five right now, that’s I think ambitious. Three. We’re gonna say three locations. Three physical library locations of Christian libraries that can be Gideon Barnabas libraries. It’s a grand vision. It’s definitely a God vision.

It’s something I never really thought about, but bookstores, books. I like books. And so, this is something that I think is going to be very, very cool. We are going to change lives.

We are going to save souls. And you can help with that. A lot of people have multiple books on their shelves they don’t know what to do with. Contact us.

We’re going to figure this out, and we are going to create Gideon Barnabas libraries all over the world, all over the United States. Where people will have access to free Christian books that they can read and that they can share with others and that salvation will come freely to all.

So, that’s something that, man, get it. Can I get an amen on that? Uh, as you can tell, I’m excited about it. It’s something that I never thought of, and it’s something that God put in the path.

And who am I to say no to what God has in store? So pray for us in that instance. Pray for us with the Gideon Barnabas project moving forward. We have a few other things going forward.

I’m not going to talk about them now because they’re just right now in infancy stages. We don’t even really know. But uh, pray that God continues to use us to build the kingdom, to grow.

We’re going to keep putting out sermons. We’re going to keep putting out podcasts. We’re going to keep putting out content on social media. We’ve continued with the Bible trivia on our YouTube channel.

So hopefully you are engaging in that and are enjoying those questions. If not, please check it out in the YouTube community. You can answer a daily Bible trivia question, which helps you learn.

Share it with others. It’s really kind of fun. In addition, we also have more clips going on right now. If you’re a subscriber, you’re probably being inundated with our videos that we’re just trying to create shorter content from already existing sermons.

Because a lot of people, they don’t want to watch a 20-minute video, especially younger generation. They want 60 seconds. They want 90 seconds. And so, we’re clipping up good content and we’re putting it out there.

And so, that’s something that’s very exciting. We’re starting to reach more people, hopefully, across other social media platforms as well. We will build followings independently of each other on platforms.

So it’s not the same person following on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube. And then they’re getting inundated with notifications on every one. We will probably have separate audiences on each of them.

With that come a whole new set of challenges. Um, we’re going to need more people. We’re going to need more volunteers. We’re probably going to need staff, which means we’re going to need money.

But guess what? God’s got all that figured out. I don’t need to worry about it. We don’t need to worry about it.

We don’t need to think about it. All we need to do is remain faithful and obedient in prayer and in action, doing what God has called us to do, which is to fulfill and achieve the great commission, sharing it with everyone we can, sharing Jesus with everyone we can.
