1 Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” This hope is not meant to be hidden or silenced; it is meant to shine.
In a time when fear, doubt, and darkness surround so many, believers are called to boldly and lovingly share the good news of salvation.
Romans 1:16 declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes…” The gospel is not just a story—it is a life-changing power.
Therefore, rise above fear, rejection, or the need for approval and instead stand firm in your faith. Your testimony, your story, and your hope can be the light someone else needs.
Don’t hide what God has done in you—declare it with courage and compassion. Be not ashamed, delighted in your Savior, confident in your calling, and bold in your witness.
The world needs hope, and you carry it within you. Be not ashamed—speak life!

To understand and interpret the Scriptures in the Bible, not only to learn it and be like a Pharisee, but to get out there and do it, being like Jesus. And so, that’s what we want to do. Jesus is our example. We want to live our lives as perfect representations of Him. That is our goal. Of course, we know that, uh unfortunately, we cannot achieve it because we are corrupted.
But we can strive to be better and be more like Jesus each and every day, doing what He has commanded us to do. And so, please consider helping us reach more people by sharing. In addition, if you have not already, please like or follow. Subscribe—wherever you are watching or listening. Today, we have a great message for you.
You might say, “Well, I don’t really want to share one of these because of, uh, so and so or what somebody might think, or something like that.” But if you do. What, what does that mean? You’re ashamed. You cannot be ashamed. You have to be not ashamed. Not ashamed of the gospel. Not ashamed to share Jesus with anyone and everyone.
Well, I might get banned. Not ashamed. No matter the consequences. Not ashamed. “Well, I might lose a friend,” or uh “Maybe so and so won’t talk to me anymore.” Who cares? Don’t be concerned with people. As it says in Matthew, “But be concerned of him who has the power to destroy both the soul and body in hell.”
Not of people who have, can, can cause problems for the earthly—the flesh—the body on Earth. We’re not worried about that work to please your Father in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” That’s also the Awana theme verse. Approved workers, not ashamed. Approved workmen are not ashamed.
Awana—2 Timothy 2:15, “Be not ashamed. And in order to do that to present yourself as an approved worker who is not ashamed. You need to know your Bible. We have a sermon series, “Know And Understand Your Bible.” Check it out. Two sermons. It’s in a card there, or go to our website. Type in “Know Your Bible.” You need to be dedicated and confident.
You need to know your authority. You need to know your identity in Christ, who you are, and what you have been assigned to do because you have a mission. You have a purpose. You have a calling. It is a divine calling, a task at hand. This is your assignment. You’ve been assigned to live on planet Earth and to do the will of your Father who is in Heaven for a period of time. 70 or 80 years, maybe even 120.
You say, “Well, why do people die early then?” Because the devil comes in to steal, kill, and destroy. And they weren’t doing God’s will. They might have been trying, but something happened, and they allowed the devil to take them out. You say, “Well, we don’t, we don’t have authority.” Yes, you do.
Jesus gave you all authority over all powers. Nothing, by any means, shall hurt you. What does that mean? “Well, it means I could still get cancer.” No, you can’t. Do you know why? Nothing by any means shall hurt you. No harm will befall your dwelling. No harm, no disaster will come near your dwelling.
There are many, many promises in the Bible. If you live according to God’s will and you do what He wants you to do, He protects you. The angel of the Lord encamps around those, and they deliver him. Delight in the Lord. He will command his angels concerning you. I mean on and on.
You are protected by God to live an ordained amount of time to do what God wants you to do. Tap into that. Get with God. Learn His plans for you. We have several sermons. We have a whole playlist on planning and making plans according to God’s will. Do that, and your life will be abundantly more than you could ever have imagined. Do not be afraid to share the gospel.
Be not ashamed. We have another sermon series. It’s actually a sermon, “Be Not Afraid.” This one’s “Not Ashamed.” That one’s “Not Afraid.” Be not afraid to share the gospel. Why? You have Christ on your side, and He will give you all the strength you need. Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
You need to be able to do that. What does it say? I can do some things. No, no, no, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. You can do all things. “Does that mean I can, I can, cast out demons?” Yes. “Does that mean I can heal the sick?” Yes, you were commanded to do so. “Does that mean that if someone dies, I can bring them back from the dead?” Yes.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. You gotta live up to that. Step into your calling and do what God commanded you to do. You need to be a doer of the Word, like James says. We have a sermon on that, too.
Do not be ashamed to share God. Let’s go to Romans 1:16. Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew then to the Gentile.”
That means to everyone. Be not ashamed. You are not ashamed of the gospel because why? Because it is the salvation power. It can bring salvation to all who believe. What is a greater miracle? The fact that when someone dies, they will no longer go to Hell, but they can be redeemed and be restored in Christ Jesus, to be in Heaven for eternity.
Or the fact that someone has a broken arm, and it’s no longer broken. Or the fact that someone can come back to life from the dead. We’re talking about physical stuff. The greater miracle is eternal salvation!
And if you can get that, if you can help someone receive salvation by simply saying a prayer and believing in their heart and confessing with their mouth, then how much easier should it be for you to lay hands on the sick and they will be healed?
To cast out demons, to raise the dead, to do any of these miracles that we avoid, or think that we cannot do here on Earth, because this is an earthly realm that you have dominion over. You say “Well, the devil took our dominion. He stole it.” Yes, he tricked Adam and Eve, and he took their dominion.
But Christ came and solved that problem. He defeated the devil, and he now has authority, which has been given to us in the name of Jesus. And the devil was put under his feet. So it is your job to tread upon snakes and scorpions. The devil is not even an equal enemy. He’s beneath our feet. We need to enforce the victory of Christ Jesus here on Earth.
And if you don’t believe any of that, if you say healing is not for today, or prophecy or, or—I can’t give someone a prophetic word or I, I, I can’t heal them or I can’t cast out a demon or I can’t—I don’t believe that God will provide for all my money, or I wish I had this, or this. Then you are saying you do not believe Christ has power over the devil!
He does. And it is your job to enforce that victory. You have the power. You have the authority. You have the ability. Walk in it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the salvation message to everyone who believes. Be courageous. Do not be embarrassed about it.
You say, “Well, what if I go and try and it doesn’t work?” Don’t be embarrassed. You tried. Have faith that God is more powerful than any mistake you might make when you are trying to do His will. Because it’s not trying, that’s even worse. Let’s go to Joshua. Joshua 1:9.
Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Has He not commanded you?” You say, “No, that was just Joshua.” No, this is for you, too. He has commanded you to be strong and courageous, to be not ashamed, not afraid. Get out there and do the work of the Lord.
Remember, when you get out there, and you’re not ashamed, when you are doing these things, why are you doing them? Because then signs and wonders may follow. And what? What is a sign and wonder? Well, think about this: if you are healing the sick and someone gets healed, that’s a miracle. That’s, that’s a sign and a wonder that follows your doing.
Okay, when that happens, the sign and the wonder happens, so that others may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven. It’s a process. You step out in faith and do, that’s what God commanded you. Before that, the Holy Spirit and the angel of the Lord, and God have gone before you and prepared the way.
Then you need to go out and do. That’s your job. Then the Holy Spirit follows you with signs and wonders. Then other people see those good works, and they glorify your Father in Heaven. How do they glorify their Father in Heaven? Because you, when they see the good works and talk to you, like, “Wow, I can’t believe that!” You are to attribute the glory to the Father in Heaven.
And then when that happens, you see you are telling them to glorify the Father in Heaven. And then, when that Father in Heaven gets glorified, now you can lead them to salvation. This is a multi-step process. And if at any point, in the way, something gets blocked, the rest does not happen. It’s stalled out. It is delayed.
Of course, it can happen because if, if let’s say, God prepares the way for you. He gives you the opportunity. You don’t do—now the rest is stopped. Someone else might come in there and do later, but you have that opportunity to keep it going.
Do not be the weak link. Do not be the broken part of the chain. Keep it going. Get out there and do. The Holy Spirit will follow you. Signs and wonders—have faith in that. It’s promised in the Bible. Then, when that happens and people say, “Wow, I can’t believe that.”
Remember, at that point, help them glorify your Father in Heaven and be there to lead them to Christ. That is the purpose. Be not ashamed. Do not be afraid. Do not be ashamed. Do not be embarrassed. Be bold and courageous.
Remember, you are sharing the most important thing ever. That is the endgame. Salvation and disciplehip. Jesus commanded you to make disciples of all nations, not to make converts of all nations. Make disciples. It’s a process.
Remember, so when you do all these other things, and then you finally bring them into the body of Christ, you give them salvation. God gives them salvation. But you, but through you, helping them after doing all of these, then the real work starts. Now they have to be discipled.
Make disciples, teaching them to do all that He has commanded you to do. So now you have to teach that new believer to do all of the things you just did in order to make them or to get them to become a believer.
This is a huge process, and it’s a lot more in-depth than simply getting someone to say a sinner’s prayer. Yes, that’s great, but there’s so much more, and you need to dive into this. This is your calling. This is your purpose.
You are sharing salvation. The greatest gift ever. Let’s go to Matthew. Matthew 13:44: “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again and then, in his joy, went and sold all. He had and bought the field.”
That’s how valuable this was. Think about it. He found some kind of treasure, and he hid it again, and he had faith that it would still be there. He went away and sold everything. Now, let’s just say for the sake of argument, everything he had was worth $1 million. His house, his cars—everything—okay, he sold all of that.
Do you get the full value for everything that it’s worth? Chances are no, because he was trying to sell it quickly. So if his house was worth 400,000, he said 300,000. Let’s go. Give me the money. Boom—someone bought it for a discount. My car is worth 10 grand. He sold it for five. He sold it, maybe seven. He—everything is sold on a fire sale. A discount.
Get it out of here. He took all that money. I bet you that if, for the sake of argument, we’re saying everything was worth a million. He probably sold it all—sold everything—600,000 and then went and bought that field because he knew that the treasure within was worth a hundred million, and he was counting on it still being there. Now, this is in terms of money, but it’s easy to understand in an earthly aspect.
What we’re talking about here is the greatest gift of all. Salvation. Now think about it. If you can get someone to have that greatest gift by simply praying with them, “Dear Jesus, come into my heart. I’m sorry for my sins. Please forgive me. I choose to live for you. I believe in you.” And they believe in their heart, and they confess with their mouth, and you gave them that greatest gift.
How much easier would it be to help activate someone in the prophetic? How much easier would it be to do something earthly? Like saying, “be healed on Earth as it is in Heaven.”
Like saying, “Be free,” and setting someone free from the captivity of a demon, to say to someone who died at age 10, “Get up. Be alive.” How much easier is it to take authority and dominion and enforce Christ’s victory over this earthly realm when you know you have already had the power and authority to help lead someone into eternal salvation?
That is unbelievable. We can’t even fathom how great it is. But you know what? We don’t even think about it because every Sunday or on multiple church services, raise your hand if you want to give your life to Christ—I’ll pray this prayer together. Have a great week. See you later. And then who’s going to raise that baby? It’s like Jesus says: many people will hear and accept.
But then what happens? Thorns, rocks, the sun scorches, all of these things that happen in the world. Well, and some people fell upon fertile soil–some seeds–and they grew, and were nurtured, and they became strong.
Well, yeah, those are the ones that were discipled. That is the biggest failing of the church today of the body of Christ today. Is that they are making converts, not disciples.
They are, are reading the Word and are hearing the Word, and are feeling good, but they are not doing the Word. Christ says, “Do all I have commanded you to do.” Be not ashamed. Get out there and do it. Don’t worry about what you’re going to say or how you’re going to say it.
Because all that matters is your faith to believe that what you are doing is a promise of God, is the will of God. So don’t be afraid about what you’re going to say or how you’re going to say it, because God will take care of that for you. Let’s go to Luke. Luke 12:12: “For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
The Holy Spirit is the teacher. I’m not teaching you right now. I have gotten out of my own way. And the Holy Spirit is teaching you through me. I am a vessel. In the same way, when you go out and do the good works of God, when you do what He has commanded you to do, when you become a doer of the Word—what is the Word? Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God.” Jesus. “The Word was God.” Jesus “The Word became flesh.” Jesus.
And made His dwelling among us. When you do the Word, you’re doing what Jesus did. You’re doing what Jesus wants you to do. When you do that, the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say. Exodus 4:12: “Now go. I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Get out there. We have a sermon series on that: “Get Out There.”
It’s a bunch of sermons telling you to get out there and teach others and do. Be a doer. Bring people to Christ. If you have faith enough to share the Word of God, He will not let you down. The Bible also says His word will not return void to Him. What is His Word? Jesus. Jesus came here for a mission—to do what? To destroy and defeat the works of the devil.
And then He will not return void. Meaning if He went back to Heaven, which we—he did—we know He did. His work was done. In Revelation, there’s also a thing, part where there’s a vision, and there’s a, a guy with a sash, which is really a belt around his waist.
And later, in the vision, the belt, the belt is pulled up to his chest. That is super significant because in the Old Testament, the Levites, when they would perform their duties, they would have that belt around their waist.
And then later, when the duties were done, the sacrifices were made, that belt was pulled up around their chest to signify to everyone it was done.
So the Word, Jesus, returned to the Father in Heaven. That vision, He had the sash around his waist. It is done. It is finished. What is finished? The devil has been defeated. You are here for a purpose, for a plan, for a mission to enforce the victory. Exactly like police enforce the law.
You are here as a representative of Christ to enforce the victory of Christ over the devil. Get out there. Have faith. He will not let you down. When you are doing the work of Jesus, when you are doing the Word, that Word will not return void. Believe that He will guide you, and He will. God wants people to follow Him. You must follow no matter what. We have a sermon on that as well.
Do you think God would throw away your effort by allowing you to sound foolish? No. You are to go out there and make fools of them who don’t believe and then lead them into belief because they realize that what they believed was foolishness. God will make sure your message is heard when you do His will. So learn His will; understand His will.
Dive into the Bible and really know what He is telling you to do. And you say, “Well, He hasn’t told me specifically.” Right here! The Bible says in the Great Commission that you are to teach others to do all that He has commanded you to do. That means, how are you going to teach them? How do you know He has commanded? With this—with the Bible.
There is so much in here that God is commanding you to do, and then you need to do it and teach others to do the same by getting out of your own way and allowing the Holy Spirit to flow through.
You say, “Well, I have to be led.” No, you need to get out there and do. Remember the process. God goes before you. Get out there and do in faith. The Holy Spirit comes behind with signs and wonders so that they may glorify. You continue to be in faith.
Then you lead the people to Christ. Then you need to be teaching them to do the same thing. It’s a process. Be not ashamed. Get out there and do.
Let’s pray.
Father, thank you so much for this inspirational message, this message of conviction to get people to start doing the Word of God. They need to know and understand that this is so significant. Jesus is the Word.
The Word doesn’t return void. They need to do the Word. You will not let them down. Father, help them believe that and stand in faith and see the Holy Spirit working behind them, these signs and wonders and miracles, and that they would lead more people to you.
That they would not only make converts, Father, that they would make disciples, that they would build a team, a powerful force that will take the world by fire—the fire of the Holy Spirit unleashed.
That all of these people would be on fire for you, that the body of Christ would be on fire, not lukewarm, that they would be on fire for you every moment of every day. That they would be inspired to do more and that they would be inspiring others as well. In Jesus’ name, amen.
I really hope this sermon inspired you. If you have any questions, please comment below. Go to our Discord server. We can talk about it there as well in the sermon discussion room.
Have a great week, and God bless.
