February 2024 Monthly Status Update For Social Media Ministries Progress Report

Hey everyone, Spencer Coffman here with Social Media Ministries. Welcome to the February 2024 monthly update and status report. February has been a pretty good month. We’re kind of resting and recuperating after January, which was really busy and a great start to the new year.

So check out our January monthly update for all of those things that we did. You can find it in a card up here. But what did we do in February? Well, we continued on with weekly sermons. We’re going through some excellent sermons, so please check them out.

I really encourage you to watch our sermons and share them with others. YouTube has a great feature where you can clip out a minute or two or a section of a great part of the sermon or a verse and then share that section on your social media.

So you don’t need to be sharing the entire video; you can just share a clip and let other people watch it. So please take advantage of that—do it! We also continued the podcast, so the Social Media Ministries podcast. Help us out by subscribing on certain platforms wherever you listen to podcasts.

That way, these platforms will continue to promote and carry our podcast so other people may be able to listen and hear the word of God. In addition, we continued the ministry minute, which is a daily devotional. We do videos on social media to try to put positive content out there.

We’re promoting hope and happiness rather than all of the terrible things that are always on social media. People often read those negative posts, and after 15 minutes, they get depressed and feel worse off than if they would have gone on social media in the first place.

So we’re trying to change that. Help us do that by sharing our posts, reposting our videos, and our content. That will really help! We’ve also continued the ministry minute podcast, another podcast, so subscribe and follow that one on your favorite podcast platform.

We’ve also switched to another platform. An affiliation came to us through Walmart, which was Spark for Good or Cyber Grants. Now they’ve partnered with a company called Deed. Deed is something that we have now become affiliated with and registered with.

So it goes through the Walmart, Sam’s Club Cyber Grants. They are getting rid of some of those and now, just partnering with Deed only. We’re registered on there so you can go on Deed, find our profile, and then you can sign up to volunteer with us through there.

You can also create a fundraiser for us or simply donate through our Deed profile. You can check that out; it’s all verified and everything—one more step of credibility for Social Media Ministries and another way to hopefully reach more people and get more volunteers through those huge corporations like Walmart and Sam’s Club.

So we’re really hoping for some good things to come from that! A final thing we did this month, which was really exciting, was going to a local high school and speaking to about 25 students in their faith club. That was a part of an affiliation through an organization called Campus Faith Clubs.

We went to a specific faith club in a high school. You can check out our sermon or the video presentation we did for that school right here in a card. We hope to do more of these in the future and get to a lot more high schools, establishing strong partnerships moving forward with the Campus Faith Clubs ministry.
