Do you ever feel like somebody’s watching you? That’s because nothing escapes the eyes of God. He sees all, knows all, and is present in every moment of your life.

Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” This truth isn’t meant to instill fear but to remind you of God’s constant presence, care, and accountability.

God watched over Adam and Eve in the garden and even after the fall, His gaze never left humanity. Psalms 139 beautifully says that there is nowhere you can go to escape His presence.

Whether in your private thoughts or public actions, God sees the heart behind it all. Therefore, strive to live with integrity, even when no one else is watching, because God always is.

His watchfulness is not about punishment—it’s about love, guidance, and protection. He sees your struggles, your obedience, your pain, and your praise.

Knowing that God is always watching should lead you to faithfulness rather than fear. Let it be a source of comfort and conviction—because His eyes are on you, not to condemn, but to lead and love.

Today, we are talking about an interesting topic. It’s called “Somebody’s Watching,” and do you ever feel like, you know, when you are at home or when you’re out and about, you get this sensation that someone’s watching you? Someone’s looking at you? Now there are two instances of this.

Number one is when you’re out in public and/or wherever, and you just all of a sudden, you feel like someone’s watching you and then you look and there they are looking at you and you’re like, “Oh, I knew you were looking at me,” or “I knew someone was watching me,” or “I felt it.” That some people call that like a piccatoral sense.

It’s a weird term, but not many people use that term. I’ll just say that. All right, it’s a lot of people refer to it more so, as like a sixth sense or just the feeling that someone was watching you, and then you look, and oh, look at that, they were looking at you. Kind of like that. You probably have experienced that in your life. Other times, you maybe have seen it in movies or TV shows.

It happens. You can, you can kind of feel that. You can kind of sense it. Discern it. The other time it happens is even if you feel like you’re alone, or you are alone, you feel like you are being watched or like someone’s always looking at you, or over your shoulder. You never really feel a sense of privacy. Now, this could be coming from a couple different things.

Number one: a lot of mental illnesses nowadays feel like the paranoia or persecution, and usually, it’s unfounded or unbased. That’s why we call it a mental illness. That is coming from the demonic or demons.

Demons are always around watching, tormenting, and so if you have that type of feeling, almost a paranoia or a persecution or something like that, that would be a demon attacking you or trying to take up residence in you. You need to fight that. Stop it. Deliverance—right there.

God will set you free. Well, we will set you free, but it’s the power of God that sets you free, so you need to go to a brother or sister in Christ and have them command that thing out of you, or you need to do it yourself. You can do that, so if it’s not paranoia from the evil side of things and you still feel like you’re being watched, you see, God will give you a peace when Jesus is in your life.

And when the Holy Spirit takes up residence in you, you will have peace that transcends all understanding. Meaning you should never feel like the paranoia or the persecutory feelings of just being watched or judged all the time.

You should never have that, and so then if you do have this feeling that you’re always being watched and it’s not another person, where you have that experience like someone’s watching me—“Oh look there. They are staring at me.” Hey, how you doing? You know, it’s not that, but it’s still a feeling.

It is because your heavenly Father is keeping an eye on you. He’s watching you and protecting you. He has angels surrounding you, watching you, and protecting you. He commands His angels concerning you.

The angel of the Lord encamps around you. They watch over you to help fight off the enemy attacks. They’re there waiting for you like your guardian angels. They’re there because if you have guardian angels, guess what?

There are demons that have been assigned to you as well to try to keep you from doing your God-ordained purpose, and then you have angels that help fight them off. We’re not going to get into all of that right now, but the point is somebody’s watching. So if you ever feel like you’re being watched, it is because you are. If it’s not another person, it’s another force. It’s a spirit.

Whether it’s good or bad they’re, they are watching you, and you shouldn’t feel those negative feelings of emotion because that’s the demonic coming in. You need to have that peace that transcends all understanding, so somebody is always watching you, and that somebody is God.

Let’s go to Proverbs 15:3. “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” God is keeping watch on you, no matter where you are, or where you go, God is always able to see you.

Hebrews 4:13: “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. He sees it all. Somebody’s watching, that somebody is God.

Even though no one’s around, God is always with you. Now this could serve two purposes. Number one: it can serve to help you, do right as a conviction, knowing that God will see any wrongdoing. You have, so you need to be inspired to do right, not a fear but of, of just knowing you don’t want to disappoint God.

The other side is the reassurance that God is always there. He’s always with you. He’s always protecting you. He is there, so knowing and remembering that can be beneficial to you in those two major ways. Remember, you are not alone. Let’s go to Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy 3:18.

Deuteronomy 31:8. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” God is with you.

He goes before you; no matter where you go, you need to be praying, “God go before me to this place.” He’s going before you when you’re driving to work. God’s going before you, making sure that that path is clear, making sure there aren’t any problems there that are going to harm you.

Yes, there may be a delay or something, but if you say those prayers beforehand, He’s going before you. The angel of the Lord is preparing the way. God goes before you and prepares the way, then He goes with you when you go, and most of the time, if you’re doing His will, the Holy Spirit’s going to be following behind, doing signs and wonders for other people to see.

Unbelievable. God will go before you. He will go with you, and they go after you. You are like a beacon of light and hope wherever you go. If you do God’s will, when you are doing God’s will, you are not alone, no matter what. God is always there to protect you. Let’s go to Psalms 121:5-8.

Psalms 121:5-8: “The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

This is a pretty significant set of verses that a lot of people just read and then move on, overlook. I could give you a whole sermon on these verses. Probably two sermons because there is so much here. The Lord watches over you and is your shade. That doesn’t mean in a negative turn—“oh, throwing shade at me,”—come on. Stop perverting the works of God.

“Sun will not harm you by day nor the moon by night.” Those are celestial beings that will not harm you. Does that mean you can go out and be in the sun without sunscreen all day and not get sunburned? Probably not. Come on. Don’t be foolish. Trust in God. “The sun nor the moon they will not harm you”—does—what is this talking about?

Well, it could be talking about two things. Either yes, physically go out, do God’s work, you will not be harmed. That’s number one. Number two, referring to forces of spiritual realms. People say the sun gods or the moon gods. What are those? When they worship those, other cultures have gods for the sun and moon—have celestial beings—those are demon spirits.

So “those will not harm you” either referring to sun and moon as demonic spirits, as, as false gods that think that other religions or cultures may worship, they will not harm you. In addition, the Lord will keep you from all harm, not some harm. All harm. You will be kept from all harm. He will watch over your life. He will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.

That doesn’t mean like for the next 5 years—doesn’t mean like today, doesn’t mean tomorrow. It means now and forevermore. There, sermon in two minutes. You never need to worry or fear because God is always there with you. He’s right there. Right there with you at all times. no matter what. How unbelievable is that? Let’s go to another Psalm.

Psalm 32:8. 32:8. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” God’s going to teach you and instruct you in the way you should go, but He can only teach you and instruct you if you’re willing to listen and willing to receive.

How are you going to listen and receive the Bible? You need to be willing to read and understand the Bible. You need to be willing to read and understand what other people are saying about the Bible, and you need to be willing to listen to or watch more sermons like this that are helping you interpret what these Scriptures mean, and you take all of that, and you put it in your mind and you, and you meditate on it and you chew on it and you digest it, and then it becomes knowledge to you through the discernment of the Holy Spirit.

It’s, it’s not just like a one-time deal, and you get it because how many times, maybe if you’ve read through the Psalms, how many times you read those verses that I just told you, but you never really understood what they meant?

You just kind of were reading them. You’ve got to dive in and digest this stuff. God will teach you and counsel you with His loving eye on you at all times if you’re willing and able and ready to receive and understand from Him.

So that’s the first part. No matter what, God is always there. You never need to worry or fear because He’s watching you. He’s with you. He’s going before you. He’s going after you no matter where you go now and forevermore. God is with you, so somebody’s watching and be thankful that it is God.

Number two: the second conviction, that’s the second part of this, is the conviction that God will know everything you do, no matter what. God knows. Let’s go to Psalms 139:3. “You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.”

God knows everything you do. He knows nothing is hidden from Him. Remember Adam and Eve in the story of the Garden of Eden, and when the serpent or Satan tempted them and led them astray, and they gave up their authority to rule the Earth, and they gave it to the devil because the devil lost the his authority in Heaven. He wanted to rule Heaven. He couldn’t, so he said, “I’ll settle for Earth.”

He stole the authority from humans, and Adam and Eve were scared, and they were hiding, and God is coming through the garden, and Adam and Eve are hiding, and God knew where they were, but He says, “Where are you? Where are you?” And then what? “I was afraid, so I hid,” but he couldn’t hide from God. God knew. God knows where you are. You—He knows your thoughts.

Psalm 139 is an excellent Psalm to help you remember that. Verse 3, remember it said, “You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.” Not some of my ways.

Prior to that, Verse 2 says, “You know when I sit, when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.” God knows. God knows what’s going on, so remember that in conviction, the next time you look both ways before stealing and putting something in your pocket or making sure the house is empty to satisfy whatever indulgences you have that may be sinful, remember God is watching. God is always watching.

Let’s go to Matthew 10:26. “So do not be afraid of them, there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” There is nothing concealed or hidden that will not be made known. God knows what’s going on.

He knows you. He knows what you’re going to do. He knows what you’ve done. Remember that He is a loving God, so seek that forgiveness.

We have a sermon series on “Forgiveness.” You can check that out on our website, or it’ll be in a card. I’ll link to the playlist, but remember that no matter what you have done, God has forgiven you.

In addition, no matter what you’re going to do, remember God is with you in all things, and remember that because He is a loving God and a just God, you need to know that you can’t go through life sinning because God’s watching you. Somebody’s watching.

So realistically, though if you, if you make sure there’s no one around and you, because you’re going to steal something, you put it in your pocket—there’s a funny video, long time ago.

I think it’s some camera caught at ATM—who knows gas station or whatever—but there’s couple people in line and there’s this a man and then like an old lady in front of him and the phone of the old lady—it’s a smartphone so it can’t be that old of a video—is like hanging out of her purse and he’s like, “Oh nice. Thank you.”

Puts it in his pocket, and then he’s like, “Oh yeah, no one’s around.” Boom—oh, there’s a camera, and he’s like, “Ah man.” So he takes out the phone and he like taps the lady and he’s like “Oh hey, you, you dropped your phone. Here you go.” “Oh, thank you,” you know, kind of a thing, cause he realized someone was watching.

But had he not seen that camera, he probably would have been like, “Nice, I scored this good phone. Jackpot.” We can’t be operating like that. We can’t be worried about what other people may see because remember God says nothing that is concealed will remain hidden.

It will all be disclosed. Everything will be made known, and everything is known to Him. But realistically, what difference does it make if another person sees you sin?

Yes, you may, depending on the crime or the sin, you might go to jail, but what difference does it make? They can’t do anything to you. They can. Yes, they can do something here on Earth, but it’s God who controls your eternity. Somebody’s watching, and that somebody is God, and you need to make sure that your actions and your ways are pure and blameless before Him.

Yes, you might screw up. Seek repentance. Don’t worry. Move on, because God when, when, when you sin, He, and you seek repentance and forgiveness, He throws that behind, and He’s going in the other way.

As far as the East from the West. They don’t connect deeper than the depths of the ocean. He remembers it no more, not because He can’t but because He chooses to forget. He moves on. He says, “You’re forgiven. It’s done.

I don’t ever want to know about it again. Let’s go. I don’t care who you were. I don’t care about all that. I care about who you’re going to be. You’re going to be someone for me. Get moving. I don’t care about that.”

“But God my path…” “I don’t care about that. Move on. Let’s go.” “I’m concerned with the future.” Mainly, God’s concerned with the present. It’s the devil that seeks to pull you into your past or pull you into the future, either reminding you of the problems of your past or giving you worry and anxiety over the future.

God wants you right here, right now, doing His work. There’s that saying that, something about the future is a mystery and the past is something else, but the present is a gift, and that’s why it’s called a present. It’s God’s gift. Be in the present. God’s giving it to you as a gift.

Live there and do His will. He controls your eternity, so don’t worry about what other people may see you do or what other people might do to you. Yes, there are consequences for your sin.

We have several sermons on “Sin.” You can check them out on our website. We have some that’s sin is sin and all sin’s equal, and that doesn’t mean that all sins are equal in what they do, because obviously there are punishments on certain levels of your crimes.

Yes, humans give those levels and but God, when you sin, it’s death. That’s the punishment. Doesn’t matter if you lie or you murder. Punishment is the same.

Now, of course, there are the unforgivable sins: blasphemy of the Holy Spirit or unforgiveness. We’ve talked about them before, and there are levels as things go on, if you examine it more, but the bottom line is no matter what, when you sin, the wages of sin is death.

Separation from God. No matter what level. “Well, I’m a worse sinner,” “You’re a better sinner,” this. That doesn’t matter. Paul said he was the worst. The wages of sin is death. God controls your eternity. Don’t worry about what other people think. Always be living for God. Let’s go to Matthew 10:28.

Matthew 10:28: “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.”

It’s God that passes the final judgment. He is the one with the power to condemn or redeem. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and be redeemed so when you sin, it’s God with whom you need to be concerned with not with other people.

Yes, if you sin against someone, you need to seek their forgiveness. We’ve talked about that in the “Forgiveness” sermon series. Please check that out, but just remember that no matter what, somebody’s watching.

God is watching you with His loving eye. Take comfort in that. Also, take a little conviction in that, that you know that your heavenly Father is looking on you with love, and as you go about your day, do actions that will please Him.

Let’s pray.

Father, thank you so much for this message, for the powerful twofold revelation that you’ve given here, that we know that no matter what, you are with us wherever we go in all things, and that you are watching us, so we know we must not disappoint you.

Because you aren’t with us when we sin against you, and when we sin, it is always against you. We need to be with you, not against you. Help each and every person understand the depth of this. The significance of this.

That they would know and take comfort in the fact that you are always there, that you are always with them, that you are always watching, and that they would strive to live for you every single moment of every single day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thanks for being with us this week. Hopefully, this sermon was beneficial for you. Please continue coming back.

Have a great week, and God bless.
