Negativity is toxic. There can be no negativity in your life. It is terrible for you and for those around you. Instead, focus on positivity. Surround yourself with positive people and thoughts. Believe in yourself and your abilities to achieve greatness. When you have a positive mindset, anything is possible.

Think about it – when was the last time being negative helped anyone? Did complaining or criticizing someone actually solve any problems? No! It only creates more negativity and brings everyone down.

Grumbling and complaining can lead to muttering, which is getting others involved and invested in your complaints. That often leads to rebellion or mutiny. None of this is good. It is unproductive and causes all kinds of harm.

You must listen! YOU MUST eliminate ALL negativity from your life. There’s a reason the Bible tells you not to complain, grumble, argue, or create conflict, et cetera. The reason is that it is toxic!

So make a conscious effort to be positive every day. Start by practicing gratitude – take some time each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for in your life. This will help shift your perspective towards the good things instead of dwelling on the bad.

Additionally, try complimenting others instead of criticizing them. You’ll not only brighten their day but also boost their confidence which can lead to better outcomes for all involved.

Remember that positivity is contagious – so spread it around like wildfire! Let’s create an environment where we lift each other up rather than tear each other down because ultimately, we are all in this together!

So please show us that you are still interested, that you are enjoying these messages, and that they are helping you in life.

Today we have got a great message for you, that your kids maybe should watch as well if they are not. Because it is about no negativity. Do everything without complaining or arguing. So children, remember that, and same with you parents, there is no complaining and arguing. There is no grumbling, no complaining about your co-workers, venting, all of that kind of stuff. No, you are not to do that. Let it go. Give it to God.

Philippians 2:14, “Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” That means everything. All the things that you hate doing. You got to do them anyway. Not only must you do them, you must do them without complaining about them at all. You cannot even complain about doing it and then do it. No, you just have to do it and you have to be happy about doing it.

Ephesians 4 Verse 29, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” No unwholesome talk. Now that could include complaining, arguing, grumbling, all of that.

In addition to swearing, filthy language, perverseness, raunchy behavior or speaking innuendos, double meanings, all of that. Throw it away, but most importantly for the lesson of today, no negativity.

Do everything without even complaining about it and also do not argue about doing it. James 5:9, “Do not grumble against each other, brothers or sisters, or you will be judged.” Do not grumble against each other. That is it. The judge is standing at the door. Jesus is there. Now there is a lot of grumbling going on in these Verses, Philippians 2:4, James 5:9, grumbling, Ephesians.

No unwholesome talk. So what is this? Grumbling. Well, that would be similar to complaining, so if you complain or argue about doing something that is sinful nature that you should not be doing. Now it is one thing to question or to ask. For example, if you tell your children to do something or your boss tells you to do something and they want to know why that is, completely natural. In fact, that should be encouraged. The reasons why are very very important, almost more important than doing the task itself.

So the next time they say “Why,” do not say, “Because I said so” or “Because I am your boss,” but explain to them why. Because oftentimes they are not questioning why in terms of they are not fighting you, they are not arguing against you, they are not being difficult. They just want to know, and so who are you to withhold that knowledge from them? Explain to them why.

Can you please take out the trash? Why? Because the trash is full and it needs to be taken out or we will have ants or bugs or it smells, that kind of thing. If they still say “Why,” then at that point it is obstinate and it is disobedient and it is sinful and it is wrong. But once you have explained why, you have given them that knowledge. Then the next time you ask them to do the same task, they should not ask why because they already know.

Knowing why is understanding. It is getting wisdom. Wisdom and knowledge are the most important things you can have. Of course, salvation is more important, but wisdom and knowledge are some great characteristics. Solomon even says, “Though it costs you everything, you have to get wisdom and get knowledge.”

Therefore, if your child or an employee of yours or a co-worker or somebody is asking you why and they are asking for wisdom and knowledge, give it to them. Give them that wisdom, that knowledge, and of course hopefully they still do something.

If they start complaining or grumbling or arguing about it, then that is where we are. But simply questioning why is asking for more information. Remember Jesus never sinned and if you want to be more like Jesus, you need to try not to sin. That means no complaining, no arguing.

When you are going to do something, of course, a little common sense is also needed. Remember God is not telling you to follow the instructions of the devil without complaining or arguing. He is not telling you to walk blindly off a cliff with everyone else like sheep. We have talked about that before. You can check that out on our YouTube channel. “How People Are Sheep,” they will all walk right off a cliff. We will.

God is not telling you to blindly follow instructions of the devil or sinful nature or if other people are doing sinful things, that you should just go along without complaining. No, He is saying that you must do what is right without complaining.

Live the good life of following Jesus without complaining, it is very very important. You must always strive to do the right thing, obeying your parents, doing right by your children, doing right at work, doing right by your employees, all of it.

Now you may say, “All right, fine, that is good, I will do that, but sometimes there are things that I have to do that I just do not want to do them. I hate doing it.” Okay, me personally, I do not like the dishes. I do not like cleaning the bathrooms. I do not like sweeping the floors. I do not like swiffering. I do not like mopping. But guess what, I do it anyway. Why?

Because I want a clean house, yes, but even though I do not like it, I can do it because who am I working for? Who am I cleaning this house for? My wife, my children, me, my dog? Who am I cleaning it for? It is God’s house. God gave it to me. I am cleaning it for Him. I am showing God that I can take good care of what He gave me.

Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.” That means even if I do not like it, I gotta pour my heart into that. I am cleaning that floor with all my heart as if working for the Lord, not for human masters.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart. Do your best, do not just do something halfway. Work at it with all your heart, take care of what God has given you. You say, “Well, I am not at a house. I am at a job.” God gave you the job. “I am at an apartment,” God gave you the apartment. Whatever you have is given to you by God.

That means do what you have to do to take care of it and to maintain it and work at it with all your heart as if working for God. You have a job you do not like, you are working for the Lord. You are providing for your family. You are doing what you have to do. Have faith.

Work at it with all your heart. Show God that you appreciate it, even though you do not like it, and ask for something else, and guess what, it will be given to you. It will be a lot easier for you to carry the mentality of working to please God rather than humans, especially if you do not like your boss or if you have problems with your co-workers and you feel like you are doing all the work and they are not doing anything.

it can be very very very difficult. Very frustrating to do your job in that circumstance, but remember, your job is not about them. Your job is about you working for the Lord. If you have that mentality that everything you do you are working for God, you are going to shine and when you shine you are being the light.

That is what you are supposed to do. Be the light, be the light of the world. People look at you, say, “Why are you different? Why are you always working so hard at your job when it does not matter?” “It does matter. I am working for the Lord.”

“Why are you always working so hard and why are you always so positive, when everybody around you is slacking off and complaining all the time?” “Because I am supposed to do everything without complaining, without arguing, and put all my heart into it working for the Lord.”

Very very important. Do not believe me? There are a lot of consequences to complaining, kids. When you complain and argue, what happens? Go to your room, lose privileges, etc, those are minor. Adults, when you complain or argue, you are supposed to have learned not to by that time.

So for you to be complaining and arguing about whatever it is, your job, your family, your spouse, your kids, anything, God might just take it away from you. He might take it away from you. You start complaining about your job a lot, God might say, “Fine, you do not like your job, you are done.” Then you will be mad that you do not have a job.

I will never forget my grandfather. There was a refrigerator; it was a double-door refrigerator and it was upstairs and he did not really like it. One day he was upset and he said, “I wish that thing would go to heck.”

Next morning when we wake up, the refrigerator does not work. Oh can you believe it, man he was so mad and so distraught. He lost his mind that that refrigerator had gone out. Hey, you wish for it and it happened and now you are upset about it? Make up your mind.

Do not complain about stuff. Your words are powerful. You keep complaining about things, God might listen and say, “Fine, you are complaining about your car, you are complaining about your job, you are complaining about your family, you are complaining about your house, your cell phone, your computer, I will take it away and I will give it to someone who will use it appropriately and appreciate it.”

Parable of the talents, like I said we have talked about it before, make sure that you are using what God has given you. That you are taking good care of it, that you are showing Him that you can be trusted with the little you have so that He can trust you with a lot. There are consequences to complaining, not only might you lose the stuff but other things can happen.

Let’s dive in, Psalm 106 is a great summary of the Israelites and they are complaining. Psalm 106, we are going to start in Verse 7, “When our fathers were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses and they rebelled by the Red Sea.”

What is this referring to? This is referring back to Exodus Chapter 14 Verses 11 and 12. I encourage you to read that part on your own time. For the sake of time here we do not have time to get into all those references.

But when they were in Egypt, they were complaining, and guess what? They were under slavery for many many years, then God says, “All right, I am going to liberate you.” Finally, they go and then they get to the Red Sea and what do they do? They complain. “Why did you bring us here, only to die by the hands of the Egyptians? It would have been better if we stayed slaves.” They just kept complaining.

Continuing on 106:13-15, “But they soon forgot what he had done and they did not wait for his counsel. In the desert, they gave in to their craving; in the wasteland, they put God to the test. So he gave them what they asked for, but sent a wasting disease upon them.”

What is this talking about? This is referring to Numbers Chapter 11 when the Israelites were out in the desert, God was providing for their every need. He said, “Hey, your clothing is not going to wear out, your shoes are not going to crumble, everything is going to be good.

“I am going to give you manna every morning and it is going to taste great. It is like bread from Heaven. You go out and collect exactly what you need for the day. You eat it and it tastes like honey, it is so good.”

Some people were greedy. They collected extra, guess what? God said, “You did not listen to me, fill it with maggots”—nasty. He said, “Do not go out on the Sabbath day, I will send you double the day before.” Still some people out there, “Where is the manna?” “You idiot, it is not out there. I told you.” They just refuse to listen to God.

Now specifically what happened here? They said, “Hey, we are tired of manna.” The people were complaining, complaining, and complaining and complaining. So God said, “Ah fine, enough. I will send you quail. I will give you so much quail that you will be sick of it.”

So He gave them meat, meat, meat, meat, and they got sick and many died. God sent a plague on them from the quail. They were complaining. Keep going, 106:24-27, “Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe in his promise.

They grumbled in their tents. They did not obey the LORD. So he swore that with an uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the desert, make their descendants fall among the nations, and scatter them throughout the lands.”

This is referring to Numbers Chapters 13 to 14. Read them. These people, they were in there, they were journeying out of Egypt. God says, “Go take the promised land, I have given it to you.” They say, “We are not going to do it.”

He said, “What are you talking about?” So they are sitting in their tents complaining and grumbling against God. “I cannot believe we have to go up there and fight. Why can’t we just walk?” All this complaining and grumbling.

God says, “Ah fine, you can stay in the desert for 40 years. You will all die. None of you will see the promised land, except a couple people who have been faithful. That is it. The rest of you, you are done. 40-year curse to wander in the desert.”

There are consequences to complaining. One more, 106:32-33, “By the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them; for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses’ lips.”

This is referring to Numbers Chapter 20 Verses 2 to 13. This is when they had problems with the water and they complained against God and trouble came, and eventually, of course, Moses, he ended up not being able to go to the promised land as well. There are consequences of complaining and grumbling and as you have seen here there are very serious consequences. Death. Banishment. Separation. Not good.

Now of course there are certain things, like I said, questioning why and asking for more knowledge and wisdom of an area is not complaining or arguing. There is another line. There are some different instances, for example, the word grumbling happens a lot here.

What is grumbling? That is really complaining, but there is a step before grumbling called murmuring. That is like to self, when someone says, “Can you do something,” and it is like under your breath, “I do not want to do it.” I just do not know, that might be okay.

You can do that, that is like letting out a little bit of frustration under your breath. Now of course, if you are under your breath, calling the person names and saying bad things, that is sinful. That is not good.

But murmuring under your breath kind of like, “Why do I always have to do everything? I do not know why anyone else doesn’t do anything around here,” something like that. But under your breath, that is okay. That is releasing some of your frustration.

If you take it to the next level, if you use that and start saying negative things about other people, then it is sinful. If you start vocalizing that and it becomes muttering, that is negative, that is rebellion, mutiny, and that is really bad.

Murmuring goes to complaining, which is grumbling, and then when that grumbling starts happening you are complaining to others. Now these others are complaining, now these guys are complaining—it is contagious. Now it becomes muttering. There is a muttering around the camp, where all these people have been complaining to another and now it is becoming muttering and they are gonna do something about it.

It is negative. It is rebellion. It is mutiny, and do not believe me that it has consequences, Numbers Chapter 16 Verses 1 through 40. I am gonna put this down below, you need to read it, 1-40. I do not have time to read it all. We have got a lot of Scripture that I really encourage you to check out. You have got to read these Verses, you have got to use your Bible.

What happens? I am going to give you a summary. Moses was leading the people. This is a ton of people, probably over a million wandering in the desert. They are in the desert and these people are doing nothing but constantly complaining.

They are falling away. They are complaining. These people are so frustrating, God eventually says to Moses, I want to wipe them out, I will start over with you and of course, Moses pleads for them and God does not wipe them out.

But that is how bad it was and in certain instances specifically here, Numbers Chapter 16 Verses 1 to 40, Korah he was inciting rebellion, mutiny. It went from murmuring then he was complaining to people, now they were complaining, and all of a sudden it was muttering in the camp. These people were starting a mutiny against Moses. They did not want Moses to lead. They did not think he was fit for the leader.

So Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, they started up this mutiny and they are challenging Moses and Aaron. Moses is like, “I just cannot take this anymore, I cannot do it” and so he says, “All right, we are going to take some time,” and he says, “God, what am I going to do? All right, I will do that God.”

So they get these censers and they light these fires and they do kind of this ritual and they say, “All right, anyone who is of God, this is gonna happen.” Stuff happens, and finally, God is like, “I am gonna wipe them out.” So He tells Moses, He says, “Hey, tell everyone, step away from the families of Korah because they are the ones who are causing this mutiny. They are the muttering source, them, their families, everyone associated with them.”

He said, “All right, get away from these families,” and some people listen. They all back away. They say, “Oh no, we are not having anything to do with this”. Others are like, “What are you talking about?”

What happened? God opened up the earth – swallowed them alive. Seriously, the earth opened up. These people all fell in like a big crater and all their tents, their possessions, their donkeys, their clothing, everything, and then the earth closed up again. Done, alive to the grave.

Then there are 250 other people with the censers and stuff and testing God. He sent down fire from Heaven, boom – consumed them too. There are consequences to complaining. It is contagious. It is a disease as you have seen. The quail God sent, they were complaining about the manna, He sent them quail, and then what happened? Disease.

Complaining, grumbling, arguing, muttering, get rid of it. Do everything without complaining and how do you do that? Everything you do, think of it as working for the Lord. If you are thinking that everything you do is something that God is having you do, it is pretty hard to complain to God because you trust Him. He knows what is best for you.

Really, I encourage you, work on that. You have some homework this week. Read those Verses there. The references below, that is your homework, read them and understand that complaining, grumbling, arguing, muttering, venting, whatever you call it has consequences. Your words are powerful, eventually, God may take it away from you.

Whatever you are complaining about, you might lose it or you might be consumed. The earth could swallow you up. You might die if you are causing problems through your complaining. You could be removed from that situation, whether it is a job, a family, whatever the case may be. So think hard about that the next time you go to complain about something or the next time you start speaking negativity.

Let’s pray. Lord Jesus, thank You very much for this message. This is a very very important message. I really pray, God I pray that the people watching and listening that they would take this to heart so much so that they would change their lives. That they would speak positivity.

That they would stop with the negativity. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop muttering, even murmuring. That it would never ever give birth to grumbling or complaining and mutiny of muttering. Lord we know that negativity is contagious, it is like a bad apple in a bushel, it spoils the whole batch. Do not let them be the bad apple.

Lord, I ask that You would really really change their minds so that they think and they believe that everything they are doing, they are doing it for You. That that would just fill them with a joy and a desire to put their whole heart into whatever they are doing. That they would work at it with all their heart as if working for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Well I do, I really hope that number one you take the time to read those other verses and number two that you take this message to heart. If you have any questions, any comments, please put them below. Have a great week. God bless.
