Remember that God gave His only son as a sacrifice for your sins. Now, think about what that meant for Jesus. He came to earth with a purpose. He was on a rescue mission. Jesus came to save YOU.

He died for you. He was perfect and didn’t deserve to die for your mistakes. Jesus was willing to go through perhaps the most brutal form of execution in history. He was crucified, died, and took the punishment for your sins so that you would be able to live in heaven.

You have been given an incredible gift of grace. One that you definitely don’t deserve. None of us deserve it. Still, God gave it to us. Jesus died for you. And he would do it again for YOU alone. Even if you were the only person in the world. The gift is yours. Accept it and share it with others. After all, Jesus died for them as well.

Hello and welcome to Social Media Ministries. My name is Spencer Coffman. Thank you so much for tuning in today. Our mission here at Social Media Ministries is to spread the living Word of Christ to as many people as possible, through the use of social media, and also, to help them understand and interpret the scriptures in the Bible.

So, you can help us with that by sharing any of our sermons on your social media accounts; because it is through your sharing that we are able to reach more people. You know people that we don’t know, and so, if you share it on your social media, those people have the opportunity to see the Bible messages and the Scriptures — everything that we are trying to do and help accomplish our mission.

So, feel free to use those Share icons, on any of our sermons, at any time. In addition, I hope that you have subscribed to the channel on YouTube, are following the podcast, or following us on social media as well — or all of the above — because that would be excellent.

If you wish to contribute in other ways, you can check out other videos on our channel here. We have a playlist on different things that you could do, places we have affiliated with, where you could donate, or help raise money, fundraisers, etc. So, if that’s something that you feel willing to do, or called to do, then we would greatly appreciate that as well.

Today we have a great message. It’s about how Jesus died for you alone, — you alone — truly for you. If you were the only person in this world — you were the last person — all of humanity had died out or gone extinct, or whatever the case may be, but it was only you, and there was only one way for you to be saved, and it was for Jesus to die for you…He would do it.

He would do it. He did it for you, and He would do it only for you. He did it for the whole world. So, if you have not heard about Jesus or the fact that He died for you, then please keep watching, keep listening, check out some of our other sermons. This is truly the greatest gift in the entire world.

You no doubt have already heard the verse John 3:16, or at least know of the verse. It is a verse that is known of, but not so many people know it. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

So, what does that mean? God gave His Son, His only Son. Now we’ve talked about that in another message before, and it’s His one and only Son. Imagine how hard that would be for you, if you have one son, or even just one daughter, to give them up for other people in the world — or even just for one person.

So, He did that. God gave His only Son, Jesus, so that if you believe in Jesus, believe that Jesus died in place of you, you are supposed to die, “for the wages of sin is death.” — Wages of sin — If you sin, which you have in your life; it’s a fact, we all sin, if you have ever sinned, so you have, so you are a sinner. Your punishment for sin is death. You are doomed to die, but the gift of God, right there, the gift of God — salvation through Christ Jesus.

So, you can be saved through Jesus. Jesus died; he died for you. So, you are supposed to die because of your sin. Jesus came and said, “I’ll die for you.” He took your punishment, so you don’t have to die. What do you have to do in return? Nothing. All you have to do is believe that He did it for you, and you’re saved. You don’t have to go out and do all this good stuff, or donate so much money, or have so many bake sales, or build this, or do that; you don’t have to do any of that.

This isn’t a works-based action. The hope is, of course, that by believing in Jesus Christ, you’re allowing Him to change your life. Most of the time, you’re going to want to do that anyway, because you want to share the goodness of Jesus, the love of Jesus, with other people.

So, God loved the world so much He was willing to send His only Son, so that the world may live with Him in Heaven. Now, of course, this doesn’t mean that God loved the world. Remember, He’s not of this world. His Kingdom is somewhere else, but because of that, we are separated from God.

He says, “Wait a minute. I want those people with me.”

So Jesus died to bridge that gap, so that we are no longer separated from God. He loves the people in this world, even though He is not of this world. He wants us to live with Him in the world that we are meant to live in.

So, remember that. God loves you so much. 1 John 2:15 is about do not love the world. Let’s go there. If you have your Bible, please, please, I encourage you to turn with me to these verses, because they are very important. If you don’t have your Bible, don’t worry. I am going to read it to you.

In addition, all of the verses will be referenced in the description below, so you can check them out another time. 1 John 2:15, give me one second, I turned to the wrong place. 1 John 2:15 says, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Don’t love the world. We’ve talked about this before; how we are not of this world. This world is of the devil. We are here on a foreign territory. We are behind enemy lines. God loves you so much. He would have sent His only Son to die specifically for you, and Jesus would have done it.

Remember, if you were here last week, we spoke about a message about how Jesus came here. How God gave His only son. Jesus was here as the sacrifice. We are, kind of, continuing on with that theme this whole time.

We brought up a story about a professor of religion, and how he just couldn’t quite communicate to his students. So he decided, for the last class of the year, he was going to have a little party. He talked to one of his students and said, “Can you help me with this party?”

I’m not going to spoil the story. If you haven’t heard it, navigate to this video here, or if you are listening somewhere else, go to our YouTube channel and check out the card in this video. The title of the message is How God Gave His Only Son. You can watch that story, and listen to it. It is very, very powerful. It is a great story about a professor and a man in his class and how he did push-ups, so check that out. It’s really powerful, and it’s a great illustration.

So, let that sink in; that Jesus would die for you. He took your punishment, and if God said, “I need you to do it again”, He would do it. If you were the only person and He said, “Hey, I need you to die.” He would do it. If it was 10, He would do it. Doesn’t matter. He would do it. He would die for you. It is pretty amazing.

Don’t let such a selfless act of valor go to waste. He’s given you a gift. He says, “Here it is. I died for you. Do you want to go through life on your own, thinking that you can do it? That you can pay for your own sins? Because you can’t. Here’s a gift. I’m giving it to you.

All you need to do is accept it.” That’s it. It’s free. Accept that gift. It’s not limited; it’s unlimited. So you can share it with other people. You can share it with as many people as you want. In fact, Jesus wants you to share it for everyone. Christ died for everyone.

Let’s go to 2 Corinthians 5:15, it says, “And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”

Praise the Lord, He was raised again. He not only died in your place, took your punishment, but then He conquered death and rose from the grave. He conquered death. Now you can be alive in Christ. He wants you to share this good news with others.

Matthew 28:16, this is when Jesus, after He had conquered the grave, He rose and now He’s ascending into Heaven and what does He say? He tells everyone — go out and proclaim the good news. Matthew 28:16 We’ll read the whole thing; the great commission.

“Then the 11 disciples went to Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Him they worshiped Him, but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you and surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.’”

So, there are a few great points in this. Number one, Jesus died for you alone — for you. You may think, “Oh, I’m not good enough. I’m a bad person. Some of the things I’ve done can’t be forgiven.”

No, they can all be forgiven. He died for you. He died for you alone. Remember that. But He also died for everyone else alone as well. He would die for you by Himself. He did it to save the world.

He gave you a gift, a free gift of God — eternal life — and it’s unlimited. You can take this gift. You can accept Jesus into your heart. You want to live for God, say, “God, thank you so much for sending your Son to die for me, to take the punishment for my sins, so I don’t have to die.

Thank you. Please forgive me for my sins. I want to live my life for you.” Then you can take that and share it with someone else and say, “Hey, this is a cool free gift. It’ll change your life,” and just tell them exactly what to do. All they have to do is accept the gift.

You need help, comment below, hit the Share button, read the Bible, check out the verses referenced. It’s an amazing gift and, now you may say, “Well, all right. I accepted the gift. I’m good, but I’m not very confident in sharing it with other people,” or, “I’m not called to be a pastor or a preacher,” or whatever the case may be. “It’s not in my body to do that.”

Okay, that’s fine, but take that step. God’s commanding you. Go out there, make disciples of all nations, be fruitful and multiply, grow the Kingdom of God. It’s a part of the calling on your life as a member of the Kingdom of God, as a believer in Jesus. It’s a free gift. Share it, and if you’re not good at talking with others, that’s fine.

There are so many ways you can share this great gift. Click a share icon and put it on your social media, that’s sharing it, post a verse, say, “Jesus loves you,” to someone you see every day. There are so many ways of sharing Jesus with others. God wants you to be doing that, each and every day, because Jesus died for you, for you alone.

I know I say this over and over and over; He died for you. God gave His only Son, but this is something that is so huge, the magnitude of this is very, very hard for us to comprehend, to explain, to describe, of what Jesus was willing to do. What He wanted to do — for you.

In fact, He didn’t want to do it, but He was willing to do it. It’s not like He’s like, “Alright, let’s go. Let’s go get some ice cream,” or something. He wasn’t excited to do this.

He was like, “I understand I have to do this, but if there’s any other way that I don’t have to do this, please, please, God, do the other way.”

God says, “There’s no other way. You have to do it.”

“Alright, I’m willing.”

But He was in such anguish, that in the garden of Gethsemane — and we’ll talk about this in another message — the prayer He prayed — He was in such anguish that He was sweating like crazy. So, He was very, very dehydrated. In fact, He was sweating so much, there wasn’t enough to sweat more. So His body had a physiological stress response, where there was actually blood in His sweat.

Now was it dripping blood? Like solid red out of all of his pores? No, it was water mixed with blood. So, it was a mixture, but still, He was losing blood long before he went through the crucifixion process by the Romans, who were experts at inflicting torture and pain and prolonging it. So you didn’t die right away. You went through misery for several, several hours, if not days. These guys were experts at doing that.

So, He went through this horrible, horrible death to pay for your sins, — “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life [through] Christ Jesus our Lord.”

So, the wages of sin, you are doomed to die. Good thing Jesus died for you.

He says, “Hey, accept it.”

Don’t let Him sit there with His arms out all day long. Don’t keep Him waiting, He’s standing at the door knocking, waiting for you to open it up, and He will come in and be with you. He will come into your life. Don’t keep Him waiting. Invite Him in.

“Jesus, come into my life. Thanks for dying.”

Have Him be the leader of your life. It truly will change your life — for the better. If you’ve done that, but you don’t know what to do next, comment below. If you want to do that, but you don’t know how – comment below, contact us on social media, comment on a post, send us a message. We will pray with you. We will pray for you.

Or maybe, in your life, you’ve already done that, you’re living and you need prayer. Just put down there, “Pray for me.”

If you don’t want to say exactly what it is, or you don’t want other people to read it, put down there, “Pray for me,” and we’ll pray for you. We’ll do that.

I really hope that you will be inspired to share this message, maybe not specifically hitting the share button below, but that would be great.

But, even in your own words, going out and sharing the message of Jesus and what He did, with other people; with your family, with your friends. After all, don’t you want them to have this free gift; to be in Heaven with you, have their life to change for the better? I hope so. Be bold and courageous. God is with you.

Let’s pray.

Father, thank you so much for sending your Son to die, to pay for our sins, to cover our imperfections, so that we have the opportunity to accept the greatest gift of all. The opportunity to live with you forever.

The opportunity to have you in our life, each and every day, guiding us through life. Being the leader of our life, so that we don’t have to live blind and in sin, stumbling around in the dark, wondering what we have to do in order to be saved.

You’ve told us, and Lord I ask that each person would comprehend this. That they would grasp how incredible this is; that you have died for us. That what you went through was so incredible, and that they would be filled with thanksgiving and joy that they don’t have to go through it, and they would accept this free gift. Not only accept it but then thrive and grow and share with others as well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

So, again, if this is tugging on your heart and you need further guidance and you have questions, comment below or contact us on social media. We are here to help.

God bless.
