Even though you may feel like your life is on standstill or like you are a hamster running on a wheel getting nowhere. Don’t worry. God has you right where He wants you. Yahweh has a very detailed and specific plan for your life. That means that wherever you are and whatever you are doing, there is definitely a reason for you to be there.

Maybe you are in a really tough season right now and don’t see how things could possibly get any better. I want to encourage you that no matter how dark or hopeless your situation may seem, God is still there with you. He has not left you nor forsaken you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Even when it feels like everything around us is crumbling, we can be confident that God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

If you feel like you’re ready to move on, then find out what you need to accomplish in your current position. Once you achieve whatever God has planned for you in that situation, then He will bring you to the next stage.

There are some things that you need to do to move on. First, you have to be clear about what your goals are. You can’t just sit around and wait for things to happen; you have to make them happen. Figure out what it is that you want, seek God’s guidance, and then go after it with everything you’ve got.

Second, don’t be afraid of obstacles. They’re put in your path for a reason, and they’ll only make you stronger in the end if you overcome them. Finally, don’t give up on yourself or your dreams, no matter how hard things get; remember why you started down this road in the first place and keep moving forward even when it feels like there’s no hope left.

So, whatever stage of life you’re currently in, embrace it and use it as an opportunity to grow closer to God and become the person He wants you to be. And never forget that He has a plan for each one of us–a plan far greater than anything we could ever imagine.

Today we are diving into a message that I think a lot of people need to hear, something that you probably need to hear because oftentimes in life and day-to-day situation, we may feel like we’re not accomplishing what we’re supposed to do.

We’re not making any progress. Our goals always seem like they’re a little bit far out, but just remember our reach extends our grasp. And so, even though you feel like you may not be able to grasp it you can still reach it, and pretty soon it will be within your grasp. But, it might not be the right time.

So, the point of that is: God has you right where He wants you. He has you right where He wants you. Remember, as a Christian, you are committed to following God’s plan for your life. Now, hopefully, you are in communication with God, you’ve committed to Him, and His plan and your plan have become one and the same.

How do you do that? Well, you watch another one of our messages from the past, and it will show you what you can do to help make your plan and His plan the same. But basically, you need to commit to the Lord in everything you do. You need to seek Him and follow Him, and His will will be revealed to you. And, He will establish your steps.

We’re going to turn to Proverbs 16:9, so if you have your Bibles please turn there with me and follow along. If not or if you’re not in a position to do that then don’t worry. I’m going to read it to you. Proverbs 16:9 is an excellent Verse. It says, “In his heart, a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”

So, in your heart, you plan your course. You plan your life, but it is God, Yahweh that determines your steps, that points you where you need to go. So, follow Him, seek Him, and you will be established, your plans will be established. He has you right where He wants you. You are a Christian, and you need to allow Him to be in complete control of everything in your life – everything!

That doesn’t mean you can say, “Okay, God, I’m going to handle this myself because this is what I need to do. I’m taking my business to the next level, and I’m doing this. And, oh God, please help my kids or help my wife be with me in that, but my business, yes, help me do what I want to do.” No, no, no – you need to be doing what God wants you to do in everything. God owns all of this anyway. He’s simply giving it to you.

Whatever you are doing right now, wherever you are, maybe you’re living somewhere that you don’t really feel like you need to be living, maybe you want to move, maybe you’re a teenager and you feel like you’re just trapped in your parent’s house and you want – you can’t wait to be on your own, but you don’t have the means or you don’t know what to do to do that. Don’t worry. God has you right where He wants you.

Instead of being angry or upset or frustrated with where you are in your life right now, ask God why or to reveal to you why you are where you are, and what you are supposed to do. Because if you’re somewhere, wherever you are, you have a mission, you have a purpose, there is something that you need to accomplish before you can move on.

It’s like martial arts – taekwondo, karate – all that kind of stuff. Before you can move on to the next level you need to pass everything in this level. Just like right now before you can move on to the next phase in your life you’ve got to figure out what you are supposed to accomplish and get it accomplished. Then you can move on.

How do you figure that out? In here, talk to God, live with Him, seek Him, He will reveal it to you. So, whatever you may be doing right now it is exactly what you are supposed to be doing, provided it’s godly.

You know if, if you’re out degenerate gambling right now then that’s probably not – no, that is not what you are supposed to be doing. There’s no probably there. It’s not what you’re supposed to be doing. You need to follow God, follow what God wants by learning what it is right here.

Wherever you are, it is exactly where you are supposed to be. Yes, you may feel like you’re not living your purpose, but your purpose comes from God. Remember you need to be patient, God has been patient with you. How long did it take you to become a Christian? How long did it take you to listen to Him in a certain area of your life?

I know for me personally it took me a long time to finally start doing and progressing with Social Media Ministries. It’s been a project that has been going for years, and finally, the videos I just started and it, it’s – how long did it take me to finally listen and do that? About five years, five years, God was patient for five years.

So for the next five years, not one person sees these videos? Maybe I need to be patient. I know that’s not the case because there’s a reason for everything. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing you may have to be patient because remember God was patient with you.

Let’s turn to Psalms 27:14, Psalms 27:14. Here we go – 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD, be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” The LORD is in all caps, so it’s Yahweh. Wait for Yahweh, be strong and take heart and wait for Yahweh.

The Lord was patient with you. Maybe you didn’t become a Christian. Maybe you were in a rough life beforehand, you were rebelling against God. Maybe you had a falling away. The Lord was patient during that period. You have to be patient with Him, as well, because if He is patient and we are created in the likeness of God, we are His children, then we need to be patient as well.

So, even though you may believe you are ready to do something more right now, in this current time, you may not be ready. Just like if you’re a parent and your child wants to do something more. Maybe they want to move out of the house, maybe they want to go on a trip, maybe they want to go to a concert, whatever the case may be.

And you say, “No, you are not ready to go to do this by yourself.” I’m going with you, and they don’t want you with them. You’re not cool to them anymore. They want to be alone, they want to be with their friends – they don’t want you hovering around. You know they’re not ready for that.

God knows you may not be ready for whatever the next step is you want as well. Trust Him and know that He wants what’s best for you, and He will give you what’s best for you. But, you need to be ready for it, so instead of being frustrated in that position, wherever you are, pray and say, “God help me become ready for whatever the next step is, and help me be patient for that next step.”

Let’s go to 2 Peter 3:9. Turn with me, otherwise listen because 2 Peter 3:9 is going to give us some good words that’ll help us out. The marker’s gone, so bear with me, 2 Peter 3:9, right here. Okay, it says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Now, this Verse is specifically talking about He is patient with you in your decision to come to Christ and to commit to the Lord. So, if right now you’re watching this, and you have not made that decision to ask Christ into your life to become your Savior, then that is something that I would love to help you do.

It’s really very simple. All you need to do is acknowledge to the Lord Jesus Christ that you’re not perfect, that you have sinned, and that you accept that He died for your sins and you thank him for that. And then you ask Him to come into your life and be the Lord and ruler and Savior of your life, and you express the desire that you want to live your life for Him.

Some people this doesn’t happen til their deathbed. The Lord was patient for them. Some people it could happen right away, but the point is He has been patient, and that’s what this Verse is meaning, that, that everyone to come to repentance.

So, the Lord is not slow in keeping His promise. He is patient with you, and He has promised – He promises to take care of you, to bring you through this life, to bless you and to keep you and nourish you, and it’s up to you whether or not you are going to accept and receive that promise.

So, He’s patient with you. He wants to move you on to the next stage of your life. You need to get ready. You can only get ready if you know what you need to do. If you are just blindly wandering around and you have no list, you have no road map or manual, how are you going to know where to go?

Here it is right here – this is your road map, this is your manual. Read this, meditate on it day and night, pray to the Lord. He will reveal it to you, and then you will become ready for that next step. God loves you too much to throw you into something you can’t handle, exactly like you love your child too much to send them off on their own when they’re not ready to do that.

Yes, at times it may seem like a waste of time to you. You may say, “I’m ready for this,” and you want to plunge in full force, but God knows you have to trust Him. Even though you may think that you’re a hamster running on the wheel, you’re just treading water, you’re running on a treadmill, you’re spinning in neutral, you’re idling, whatever type of metaphor or analogy you wish to use, you may not be ready.

So get ready! Get ready.

God is teaching you to be patient. You’re learning wisdom, and you’re learning not to be hasty into getting into new decisions, which is very, very important. Communicate with God and help yourself. Ask Him to help you find the meaning in what you’re doing. You’ve got to find out why you’re doing what you’re doing.

What are you doing in your position right now? Why are you doing what you’re doing? Why do you get out of bed every day? I’ll tell you my why is this. This is it. What is your why? Of course, this isn’t all I do. I do other things. You do other things, other things that you enjoy, that motivate you. You have a family or kids. That’s your why as well. But ultimately deep down what brings you a sense of purpose – raising your children?

What about raising tons of children…through impacting lives by one life at a time in sharing, like the Pay It Forward act and movement? What about raising multiple kids through whatever? Maybe you have a lot of money, you’re going to build an orphanage and sponsor that. Have someone else take care of it, but you finance it. Hospitals, churches, nursing homes, whatever the case is – touch more than your family.

I’m talking about the calling that Jesus gave us – the great commission of, “Go, increase in number. Bring everybody to me. Make disciples of all nations.” Bring people to Christ! That is your real true why. If you’re a Christian bringing other people to Christ is your why. Whether you know it or not that’s your why.

So, if you’re not ready to do something else, or you might think you’re ready but you’re not ready, you want to know how to get ready, that’s it. Start telling others about Christ. Lead in casually. Maybe you meet someone. You’re not going to go in and preach at them.

Maybe you’re not doing sermons or something, but it’s a casual conversation, “How are you doing today? Great. Kids, family, your work?” You go through that. You build rapport, 10-15 minutes. How is your relationship with the Lord? Bam.

You don’t walk up to someone and say, “How was your relationship with the Lord today?” They’re going to throw you away. They’re going to ban you from their business. They’re going to whatever because they think, “Great, here’s somebody that’s…” – you’re just going about it the wrong way.

Now, if that’s your calling to do that and you have that gift, then that’s what you should do. But, for most of us, it needs to be a natural part of conversation. You need to show someone that you care about them and that you are bringing it in a natural part of the conversation.

How is your relationship with the Lord? They’re gonna tell you, and if they don’t, they don’t. Accept it, move on. I don’t really feel comfortable talking about that. Okay, no problem. If you do the topic’s on the table, and then move on. Don’t just walk away and show them that that was your only intention.

Continue, maybe they’ll say, “You know what? It’s really not that great.” Now you’ve opened up the door. Keep going. Make it as natural as possible, and it’ll feel natural for you. The more you do it, the more you’re going to want to do it. You’re going to love it.

It’s going to be like you go in and pump your gas and someone’s right there pumping their gas and you’re going to just be shaking with the desire to share it with them. How can you do it? Maybe you ask them, “Oh, how did you pay, with cash, credit card, you get a discount? Whatever, casual conversation.

It is going – you will be on fire for Christ. When fire happens it spreads. It consumes everything around it. That’s what you want to do. You want to be a fire for Christ that’s spreading, that you are bringing more and more people to Christ.

So, if you are wondering what you’re doing right now, you feel like you are stuck, that could be a good place to start. Ask God to help you find the meaning in what you’re doing and believe me there is meaning because if there wasn’t, you wouldn’t be there.

Did you hear me? Write it down. Save this spot. If there wasn’t meaning in what you’re doing right now, you wouldn’t be there. You wouldn’t be there. Trust God because He knows what’s best for you, and ask Him to help you see the situation – not through your eyes – but through His eyes.

Let’s turn to a book in the Old Testament, Isaiah Chapter 55, Verses 8 and 9, 55:8 and 9. So, I got them marked here, 55:8 and 9. I’ll read it to you, but I hope that you will turn there. I also hope that if you are listening to this while you’re driving or something like that, that later on you will turn to all these Verses.

They will be written in the description below, the references. Look them up, read them, read a few verses before and a few verses after to really develop the context, pray on them, and ask God why He has given you this message today.

Because you’re not just listening to it for fun. I mean, yes, it could be fun, but you didn’t just listen to it randomly. There is a reason behind it. There is a purpose. So, find out what you are getting out of this message and what you are supposed to do with this message.

So, here we go, Isaiah 55, Verses 8 and 9. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares Yahweh. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”

All right, what does that mean? Well, it means that you might think you’re ready for the next step. You might think you’re ready to move on, to get out of there, to do something else. That’s your ways, that’s your earthly ways, that’s your course. Right here, God’s thoughts are not your thoughts. Our thoughts are flawed. Are you kidding me? We are sinful in nature from the time we were born or conceived to the time we die, we are sinful in nature.

Remember we’re born into this world. This is a world of sin ruled by the Devil. Our thoughts are nowhere near God’s thoughts. Our goal is to receive His thoughts and know what we’re supposed to do. Our ways are lower than His ways. We need to learn His thoughts. Ask for them to be revealed to you, and then follow His way. The Lord will establish your path, your steps.

His Word is a light to your path, okay? His ways are higher than your ways. You need to be finding out what His ways are and what His thoughts are and then get them revealed to you, interpret them. You do that through Scripture. You do that through the Holy Spirit. Everything gets revealed.

This Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. And, you can understand and interpret it through the Holy Spirit. Ask God for that and you can continue to know what you are supposed to do anytime in your life and know how to get ready for the next step.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, I thank you for each and every person out there listening and hearing this message. Please have it touch them, touch their souls, their innermost being, and inspire them to figure out what it is they are doing in their current position and why they are there.

God, we know that you have a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us, not only a general purpose for our lives but a purpose for each and every day. Each and every day is divinely prepared and orchestrated by you, Lord. You have the most detailed plan of any, anyone that we will ever experience or understand, and we know, Lord, that all we need to do is trust you with that plan.

I ask that every single person out here would be ready, willing, and able to be patient and to trust that your plan is what’s best for them and that that plan would be revealed to them through your Word, the Bible, and through them communicating with you in prayer, and if necessary through them reaching out in the comments or anything like that if they need any help.

Give us the wisdom to help them with that, as well, or their local leaders or pastors, or friends, or family, or anyone that they may reach to. Lord, reveal that to them. Give them the purpose and the desire and the knowledge of what they need to do to be ready to take those next steps, and Lord we ask that they would share you with anyone and everyone that they can, that they would be inspired to do so and that they would be on fire for you.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Those aren’t empty words. You need to be on fire for Christ, and I pray and I hope that you will. Your calling, your plan, your purpose is to share Christ Jesus, share the life-saving eternal words with others. That’s the ultimate. You may have other plans and purposes throughout there. Follow those, find out what they are, seek God, and get them revealed to you, and know that no matter where you are or what you’re doing right now, God has you exactly where He wants you.
